Which album is superior?

TTPD gets my vote, I'm not that interested in what petal has to offer. The sonic world is mildly interesting but the lyricism and the vocal performances leave much to be desired.

The things I love most about Ariana the artist are not present on petal. The things I love most about Taylor the artist are present on TTPD.

TTPD for all

TTPD is a much, much better album.

HTIMYLM is by far the best single, but Fortnight and Broken Heart are both better than Petal.

TTPD wins because of the anthology for me

TTPD is easily the better album. Ariana gets the better singles though. Fortnight/ICDIWABH are in the bottom 7/8 on TTPD for me, while htimylm/petal are both in the top 3 on petal.

I will defend both albums. But TTPD is one of the best albums of the decade so it is an unfair comparison.

However, Taylor could not pick singles correctly to save her life, so Ariana wins the singles department.

TTPD is absolutely terrible so Petal wins. But Petal is also good so there's that!

TTPD is probably my most played album ever. Love it.

TTPD by far

Petal for both. TTPD has some great songs on it but it is weighed down by some clunkers + the overall monotony + the bloated track list. Petal is a more concise statement and functions better as an album, not a playlist.

Tay needs to listen to Mama Ru in general

I like my singers to be able to hold a note so petal.

Only 1 has a lyrical scathing masterpiece like "But Daddy I Love Him" dragging the parasocial fans

Ariana's weakest effort will easily win over that bloated dull mess.

Petal was just ok for me. I still really love TTPD

Tricky one because Petal was most instant for me but I really LOVE some tracks in Poets but it's also quite bloated, half of the album has no reason to exist

I was on a date with Sweety a year ago, and he sold me TTPD; it's the only album I listen to from her now.

Honestly both albums round out to a ~6 or 6.5/10 for me, just for completely different reasons.

For singles, I'll go with Petal.

Neither are good but TTPD is one of the worst albums of all time so petal wins easily.

TTPD has 31 songs but i felt petal longer.

TTPD (+ anthology) is actually pretty good if you remove like 10 tracks and ignore some lyrics

Actually gonna vote TTPD for both since I'm not huge on ICDIWABH or Petal and I prefer Fortnight to HTIMYLM, but both are great albums
