Billboard names 9 candidates who might receive the VMA Video Vanguard in 2026
She's unlikely to get it anytime soon given that she already got the Tricon, but I still have hope they'll come around and give it to her anyways in a few eras

Billboard names 9 candidates who might receive the VMA Video Vanguard in 2026
Miley is the most likely here, it would align almost perfectly with Bass Persuades promo Taylor seems like the only other true possibility if she actually decides to attend, unless they decide to do their big one and give Madonna a second Vanguard

TLOAS vs BTW vs 30 - Most frontloaded album?
Ophelia already outcharted EOM in the UK and is still charting, so I don't see how one can be an organic smash while the other isn't
-
TLOAS vs BTW vs 30 - Most frontloaded album?
We won't be able to make a full judgment on TLOAS for a few more years, but I would probably say 30 out of these. BTW's resurgence and (relative) longevity on streaming has been pretty impressive, it's doing 2x 30's streams daily despite being years older

UK Singles: Choosin' Texas #1, Dolly #5/6/9, Dua Lipa #18: Albums: Alex Warren #1
I would rather have Sam and Olivia #1 for 40 weeks than for Stella to even get close to the Top 5, feel like pure **** just want them back x

GUTS spends longer on UK albums chart than all Taylor albums since 2021. Why?
Taylord needs to release that 70s pop rock opus promised by the Midnights visuals ASAP, the GP has spoken and rightfully prefers Folkmore Taylor over Synthpoplor Guts is an incredible album that got an unfair shake here due to following the monster that was Sour, glad it's getting the last laugh

Chappell's lethal bob goes viral, the GP allow her to bully children again
The way that the GP completely ignored that footballer admitting that it was her team's fault and not primarily hers, I feel sick. CR2 is coming to end everyone, The Subway ROTY, etc etc

What pop-girl came out on top today?
- Do you consider Radical Optimism a success now?
- TTPD vs petal
Actually gonna vote TTPD for both since I'm not huge on ICDIWABH or Petal and I prefer Fortnight to HTIMYLM, but both are great albums- Complex: Top 26 Best Actors In Their 20s
This is definitely engineered ragebait for engagement since they saw the discourse about Inde being overexposed too quickly mainstream online journalism is dead dead atp- Stella Lefty accused of copying another hit song
I've been an OSLH since day 1 but both songs have chord progressions and melodies that are so omnipresent in today's Nashville slop machine that I wouldn't really call this plagiarism, lack of creativity and corporate writer camps is more likely the culprit However the Stick Season rip-off was definitely specific enough to drag her for, especially with her having covered the song multiple times- Forbes predicts the 2027 Grammys frontrunners
Another year, another publication predicting based on hopedictions and vibes than actual voting patterns Lux absolutely deserves AOTY but it's fighting for a nomination at this point, let alone a win I think The Cure has a better shot in SOTY and ROTY than others are giving it credit for since it can accrue more rock and alternative votes than Olivia's previous song submissions, but I think it's an outside choice rather than frontrunner I'm a fan of Ella so this is no shade, but I think people are overestimating Texas a bit in the song categories. Country has historically not done well in ROTY and SOTY (only two to three wins ever apiece, to my knowledge, one of which was the Chicks' historic sweep with a unique narrative.) It takes a lot of crossover appeal to voting blocs that might be hostile towards country to win, and also heavy vote-splitting between pop-leaning nominees (like when Lady A won for Need You Now.) Since Texas is a pretty straightforward country song, I think that Olivia Dean is more likely to overcome votesplitting here with jazz and traditional pop voters than Ella is For right now, an Olivia Dean sweep is what makes the most sense logically, but it's hard to predict when we don't know the nominees and how the votes will split. I'm pretty certain she's winning at least one, but we'll have to see how much support people like Bruno, Taylor, and Olivia R get in nominations to have a better idea- Do you ever come to ATRL just to feel grateful ?
Ya, when I see the extent to which some people are so emotionally invested in stan wars or identifying with their faves, it makes me grateful that that's becoming more of a thing of a past for me. ATRL is good for some kiis to decompress or discussion, but it's never more serious than that, I guarantee you- Are listening parties a scam?
The very act of being selected for a listening party is going to lead to selection bias from Stans who overhype the album because of the experience, so yes. I never expect an accurate or unbiased review of the album from a listening party - Do you consider Radical Optimism a success now?
