It's crazy how pressed people still are over the praise this album is receiving He didn't even say it's the best pop album of the last 15 years, he said it's one of the best which is an objective fact. It's a well produced and executed album. It might not be for you but crying about the fact that she came up on TikTok isn't going to change that.

This. She was fine to speak out on a situation when she was Luke's protege of the moment and it was benefitting her. That's what getting older and having the leopard finally eat your face will do to you. Sad she had to learn this lesson this way, but it sounds like she's in a better place now. Hopefully she will think twice before doubting a fellow woman again.

Only on ATRL would an album like Cowboy Carter be in conversation with shameless and hollow cosplay like C,XOXO or whatever Miley was going for with Bass Persuades. C,XOXO takes this, if only because it fails at its mission statement. It's a de-fanged mood board in search of a concept. Could have been something memorable if Camila had the grit as an artist to commit and go for it, but instead we got two Drake collabs (arguably one Drake song) amid a bunch of other songs that are varying degrees of successful or middling. I can't even really have an opinion on Bass Persuades because it is such a nothing album, but Miley is a better singer than Camila, so there's that at least.
