  1. It's not a diminishment of Rih's impact to say that Britney had an objectively bigger footprint, in the sense that she pioneered a template for young female pop stars and ushered in an entire sub-genre of popular music. That's just a fact. Not to mention the way she was covered and discussed in the media; even at Rihanna's peak, she never came that close to achieving that. What I will say is that Rihanna is by far the more culturally ubiquitous figure in pop culture , in the sense that she's occupied and dominated several different lanes (fashion, music, business, etc.) simultaneously; Britney never managed to really break out beyond music and the tabloids. Rihanna is also still culturally relevant, whereas Britney is often discussed in a retrospective way. That's partly her choice, but also because of her circumstances. I think it's a very stark difference, but it doesn't change the fact that if you took Britney away there would be a pretty massive hole left behind, and popular culture as a whole would look totally different. You could make the same argument for Rihanna, but not with at the same scale.
  2. It was doing pretty impressive numbers before the tour even started, though objectively speaking the tour is definitely helping its exposure. OT: Taylor's recurrents have been low (for her standards) but she hasn't been active since Showgirl which is definitely a factor. Her Taylormania numbers were not really sustainable long-term though.
  3. Unrelated but I hate that this has the stupid Obsession audio laid over it
  4. Okay, seriously what's going on with Spotify? Most of the top of the charts are clogged with older songs when songs by the same artists either can't catch on at all, or can't sustain themselves beyond some brief chart runs
  5. Short N Sweet has the better singles but Man's Best Friend is the better album

  11. Actually kind of shocked this album is still charting, I thought it fell off the chart.. the fact it's on its way to doubling the amount of weeks PF2 was on the chart for
  12. It's a Dangerous Sweepa Dangerous Woman's got stronger album cuts than Bangerz, and the Bangerz singles have aged pretty poorly outside of Adore You.
