However, in the long run it will occupy a similar position as IASF in her discography, in that it will be regarded as an obviously very important album, but will also rightfully be negatively remembered for containing some of her absolute worst music.

It neither helped nor harmed her. It was obviously a monster smash hit, but that didn't seem to help GaGa with any of her subsequent singles unfortunately. This is simply a case where the song ends up being being bigger than one half of the artist who sings it.

I think if Bruno could have produced her vocals in a non grating then yes it could have been a big hit. Part of why DWAS with GaGa was so big is because she didn't use her Dope vocals for it which would've ruined the song entirely.

Both albums that had only one smash hit and one moderate hit which for the early 2010's was not good for a pop album by someone of Rihanna's caliber.
