What is your current hyper-fixation meal?

Featured Replies

Each morning of the week without fail, I'll go downstairs into my kitchen, soak some flocão (flaked cornmeal) in water & mix it with chili powder + salt, microwave it under a damp paper towel to steam it, then mix in butter, miso paste, and cheese, and top it 😉 with a crispy fried egg. It's genuinely one of the easiest things to make when I've just woken up and it's so good too.... thank you northeastern Brazil for giving us cuscuz nordestino chick1

i've shared my hyperfixation meal ATRL... what is yours? let me know so we can all try each other's coffee

I've been baking sourdough, I LOVE spreading blended and whipped cottage cheese on a toasted slice of sourdough and drizzling honey on it (and a sprinkle of pink salt). I just made a pumpkin loaf with white chocolate chips and I think I'm gonna spread only blended/whipped cottage cheese on it.

I reaaaaaally need to start cooking again and start making crazy Italian huge sandwiches and crockpot buffalo chicken dip again cause my current hyperfixation is going to all of the fast food Mexican restaurants around town that are all 24 hours and getting carne asada tortas fountain which are always overpriced but are usually phenomenally delicious. so slay a bit but omg Joe be MORE RESPONSIBLE WITH UR MONEY FOR THE LOVE OF GDO

I literally have salmon, sweet potato, and sauteed spinach for dinner every night rip I've had zero capacity for creativity in the kitchen lately

I'm obsessed with chicken carbonara but manage to restrain myself to only making it once or twice a month. laugh

Ive been having peanut sauce noodles for the past few days. Just boil some broth, add 1 spoon of peanut butter, season it with whatever you want, add noodle and then any protein that you like yum

i enjoy snacking on Island Way fruit cup sorbet a little too often lol

im opened up the sandwich so you could see , the ramen on the butty ( bread ) , its a popular british dish

Lately I have been obsessed with cooking millet for breakfast (both sweet and savory) and using feta in pasta sauces or as part of the stuffing for halved hokkaido pumpkin nicole2

one of my favs of late is to crisp up garbanzo beans in olive oil/garlic/salt/red pepper flakes, then drain & put them on a bed of whatever herbs i have (today parsley/basil/maybe some mint?), adding feta & sriracha and topping with a couple fried eggs coffee

Carbonara is killing me. I make it about twice a month the traditional way. It's so good with a nice glass of white wine.

I made this delicious colorful roasted eggplant salad dish called ensalada talong with diced mangos, tomatoes, onions seasoned with salt black pepper and a little splash of vinegar. So delicious and high in fiber, i eat this with white rice and costco rotisserie chicken

My go-to "can't think of anything to make / feeling lazy but want something good" meal has been a chicken wrap.

Whole wheat tortilla, whatever sauce I have in the fridge with Dijon, whatever greens I have in the fridge (usually spinach & arugula mix), cherry tomatoes, pickled onions, pickles (if I have them), black pepper, and those frozen Just Bare spicy chicken breasts cut up. Sometimes with cheese if I have any.
