I unfortunately have social obligations, but i'll try to follow along now and then and gag the table with my expressions of pure horor

The scores of her albums have been overinflated because of the rabid fanbase harassing the reviewers. Even now that Pitchfork review starts with appeasing them. TLOAS is clearly a low point, and the Folkmore sisters were a decent high point. Her other albums fall somewhere in between, but there's always, always massive clunkers that artists would have been raked over the coals with had she released in another era.

I haven't even listened to it yet because I want it in the best quality. It's been killing me.

I feel like there should be statistics that detail a causal link between a the consumption of that kind of porn and criminal acts; otherwise it just seems like a puritan act to put rules on make believe. I feel like effort is better spent on sexually educating young people. There's no stopping them from finding the porn anyway.

Hmm, it's not the 80's thing (the back half of Mayhem is almost all 80's inspired) for me, more those typical backing vocals Taylor is so fond of and even the lyrics are very reminiscent. Nothing about that package screams Gaga expect for the fact that she's singing it.

I think it has probably a lot of mid section votes and no outright pannings

The production on l'Autre is indeed a bit corny, but that's also its charm to me. So very specifically of its time.
