Always spending your time on Taylor threads even when it's an appreciation thread I see, get a life

i love this one, honestly one of her best songs, maybe even her best song of this decade

Decent track.

it's a cute song but hard to connect to knowing she's a nepo baby with a recording contract basically handed to her on a silver platter through her multi-millionaire dad's connections

CUTE

The best song on Midnights for a reason

This song is great, not my taste though. I love oontz oontz poppers induced music like Lavender Haze and Anti Hero

Right, I suppose as a Rihanna stan you connect more deeply to dance pop songs written by a room of 100 people?

OT: gorgeous song, one of the best on AOTYnights

I love the song now specifically because of this iconic fan cam

My very favorite song off Midnights, a career highlight.

I think you need to brush up on the definition of a nepo baby

Fantastic song Heartfelt and autobiographical, but her songwriting chops are also on display here. Love the structure and the way it unfolds.

The impact one sentence in this song had to million fans worldwide to even used by astronauts is out of this world. One of her best track 5s.

Why is it always the deaf user who comments first?

her father was a majority stockholder in her record label to which she was the only notable signed artist and he bought 30,000 copies of her album the week it came out. I like Taylor and I really love this song but how is that not nepotism?

Her last great song

Nepotism is having a parent/relative/etc in the industry who gave you connections to have an in. Sure, Taylor absolutely had a lot of privilege having parents who could support her financially, but her parents were not in the music industry and didn't have connections to slide her in.

Big Machine was a brand new indie start up label and Taylor was one of the first artists to sign with them. Scott is an investment banker and bought a 3% share after she signed with them. He did not buy 30k copies of her album, that's a lie.
