Bring your love and living for love are great songs and would have been hits if not for ageism tbh. The only thing I have about lfl is that the vocals are so chopped up like you can hear where they chopped the stems, so bring your love wins (though tbh should've been a gaga or bey collab)

That's Showbiz, Baby! as a longtime mixer, and girl groups in general, it was so refreshing to see a group member who was not the Beyonce of her group release such a perfect, ambitious record about what it means to experience that kind of fame where you're treated like a product. Chappell is a legend and an icon (to quote Rosalia) and i love rise and fall, but its like comparing my best friend to my mother, mother always takes it edit: but chappell does take it with the album cover!

she doesnt need hits tbh, and probably not but that doesnt matter. so many albums have huge moments nowadays without a hit and i think madonnas name alone sells the record

exactly! like i went to eras and i own this ladys albums on vinyl and i literally skipped school in 9th grade to stay home and watch her sing on gma on album release day, but that doesn't make her some poor little baby in need of my defense! if you act vile, you deserve to be called out! all billionaires, even the ones YOU like! have some integrity people, and some wherewithal—she is in no need of defense she literally is unaffected by this discourse

thank you! it is genuinely her best album and by a long margin. the messiness of it only makes the album better to me. i get so scared, space bootz, fweaky, lighter, pablo the blowfish i mean come on these are better songs than any of her disney peers ever released and is better than any of the music she's made since

100% beyonce. i also see it for miley and especially taylor. it kind of makes me emotional to think about how groundbreaking what Madonna is doing right now is. There's never been a pop girl that has made music at this level in her almost 70s, and even if Madonna isn't getting number one hits right now, her nerve to stick around is going to be the reason why some pop girls are going to be able to sustain at a higher level for a longer time.
