She's a very capable songwriter and she's very cunning; I almost have to believe she's purposefully releasing slop just bc she understands she can and that ppl will gobble it up regardless. TLOAS is hands down her worst album, the deluxe version also sucks but if she gets enough people to think some of these songs are even SLIGHTLY better than the absolute dogsh!t that was on the standard edition ,she can convince enough simpletons that she's "still got it!"… of course she's still got it ! She can be a fabulous songwriter when she wants to be! TLOAS and these 4 tacky tepid ass songs feels like she's really testing just how low base and pickle juicy she can go while yall still continue to guzzle the slop and it appears evident we've yet to find the bottom of what yall will accept from her. Like at what point do the real fans truly demand better of their fave ??

Macklemore to his credit really does seem to walk the walk separate from just talking about it. I do understand that, I guess I'm just bemoaning the reopening of a wound, or rather the creation of a new fresh wound that opens Abdul up to more unjust attacks , and I worry that increased fervor could hurt his prospects. I feel like I constantly have to explain that I do completely agree with much of what Hasan is saying here and a lot of his opinions in general. I oftentimes, though, think the way that he chooses to communicate (particularly tailored to his young, left oriented audience) is something that can easily get him into trouble via outdated (but still powerful) media outlets that twist his words beyond recognition , yet the damage ends up being done all the same. To me it reveals a defiant and self righteous arrogance that Hasan has , and whereas in my previous post you quoted I feel like I reiterated several times with the substance of WHAT he was saying, because it was not overtly fawning and only positive people come in with the confused emotes as if I'm critiquing his points rather than just him as the messenger… it worries me that he has his own lil cult of personality developing where a lot of people think he can do and say no wrong.

If you ask just about anyone today with a basic understanding of history they'd tell you Vietnam was one of the biggest blunders in US history and that no we certainly did not win the war. America has reverence for any military conflict we've engaged in, justified or not, but honoring the dead and those that sacrificed does not mean that the majority of Americans are proud or happy that we engaged with Vietnam

I fear the inverse is also true my friend; what Piker misses is that a lot of people in America are also unprecedented levels of stupid and susceptible to media manipulation. I really don't know that him agreeing to do an interview with Axios (notoriously pro-Israeli publication, at least in terms of its journalists' slant) so close to the midterm elections and give a fresh, provocative quote that will play every minute of every hour on Fox News for 6 weeks straight was the brightest of ideas. I think a big problem here is Hasan feels the need to over-intellectualize his responses so he doesn't just get regarded as a basic internet troll. WE sometimes get trapped in our own echo chambers as well; because I too both understand what he's saying and agree with the fact that the military / government of this country has done more evil globally than probably any other state entity in modern recorded history … but even in the clip that's been released so far, he treated a very important piece of what needed to be said to vindicate his opinion (the fact that "not all Americans are terrorists") as an ancillary point to his larger message that yes America is worse than Al-Queda … and when that breaches containment of the spaces that you and I likely occupy where people do understand the point he's trying to make, there's so many other spaces out there where it plays completely differently and can potentially influence voters in a negative way for parties like the democrats or the DSA. Moreover, I think at this point as much as he says he doesn't want to be the story, I can't fathom why he'd do this interview if he doesn't at least get a kick out of it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ no matter how right his opinion is, I think this was a pretty piss poor decision on his part.
