Was Garden of Eden another wasted Gaga lead single?
To me one of the coolest things she's ever done is release Disease as the "lead single" to Mayhem. Perhaps it was destined to flop cuz it's not commercial sounding but it was a really bold and radical choice. It was a really great introduction to the era, and I imagine that's why she wanted it out first. GOE now gets to be a cute album track that's also decently known by cool people cuz it got used in commercials.

YSPSFAGSIL outsold Sabrina's peak. Why?
All the silly stan comparisons aside, Sabrina is racing the clock in a way that Olivia is simply not. She'll be 30 pretty soon and even tho the industry/ attitudes have changed to be more accommodating and accepting of 30+ year old pop divas, most of the examples you can point to of pop girls over 30 that are still relevant are people who are true visionaries or vocal legends, and Sabrina is neither.

HDD: #1 Madonna 132.7K
Likeee lolll let's not attempt to retcon Madonna's career; everything she's done , even the things that "flopped" by whatever arbitrary metric you wanna apply to it, led her to having the 50+ year legacy she's known for today. She did things her own way and that's why she's a pioneer.

Britney responds to TMZ article about "erratic driving incident", mentions Xtina
So TMZ posted about Britney apparently standing thru the sunroof of her car , which admittedly is dangerous , earlier today and now Britney has responded on insta with a caption that actually makes a lot of sense/ she seems more lucid and clear (relative to some of the other examples ) Full text: Sending love and healing to Miss Spears

- Madison Square Garden kept a list of gay celebrities
Somewhat disingenuous headline bc it's not just that they're keeping a list of gay people / artists that go in that venue; they're tracking everyone. And labeling them according to a risk level, among other factors. we should indeed be mad that they're marking and making a note of patrons/artists/staff sexual orientations, of course, but this is more of a story about the pervasiveness of the mass surveillance state we all live in. You can imagine that a venue like MSG has to be on high alert all the time for potential threats, but doing it in this way is soooo beyond alarming. We don't know if this data they're collecting gets shared in any way with other venues or! If they're just compiling a database of everyone who goes in there and sharing it with any kind of corporation, govt entity, etc so they can better surveil people , whether it be from targeted ads to investigative purposes. This should be a much bigger story than I see it currently being talked about.- Taylor and Travis secret honeymoon location revealed

You have to imagine some of the "indifference" you're seeing is the fact that we've had this song for years now. Not necessarily this version, but we've heard this before. I love the track ! As a stan tho , on principle , I kinda can't gag too much beyond being able to legally download / stream it bc it's a ST outtake that she's now repurposing as a B'Day B-side this also probably would have remained scrapped if it hadn't already leaked. TL;DR: a lot of the hive sees thru this heifer. This is cute ! But we want act iii both for the music and to finally have a definitive answer about the fate of the visuals.- Drake shows off his slim figure

It's none of our business really. Do I think in my personal opinion it's a lil much / tacky ? Sure but if it makes her happy and she has the support of her parents , who cares … but you know Kanye is def pissed. thank you for pointing this out diva; the "woke right" (Tucker, Candace, MTG, etc) ONLY cares about Gaza as a vehicle for criticizing Israel, but to them at their deepest level it's Jew hatred across the board. Israel of course deserves the criticism , but let's approach it from the appropriate perspective of being anti war, anti imperialism and let's not welcome legitimate anti semites into our tent just because they're saying similar rhetoric as us .. because again, our views are not aligned.- Madonna thinks Sorry, Into the Groove and Cherish are "r*****ed" songs, do you agree?
She's not wrong necessarily , rather it's ….. like she makes pop music. Pop music at its most barebones, essential form is meant to express ubiquitous, easy to understand themes in palatable ways for the masses. Some would call that stupid , or the word she uses in this case. And obviously there's also more innovative pop music (that she herself is a pioneer of !) that talks about deeper issues , but along the way to becoming "Madonna" you're inevitably going to release some stuff that's on the fluffier side before you're able to make songs like Frozen or What It Feels Like For a Girl. Anyway Into the Groove innocent, Cherish fine, Sorry less innocent than into the groove but still innocent- Why did Gaga fail where Beyonce and Madonna succeeded?
Chromatica was incredibly phoned in for the most part. She's as much as admitted that, or at least alluded several times that she was not in a great place mentally making that record … well to me it shows. Idgaf about what the demo versions sound like, songs like Free Woman, Fun Tonight, Alice, 1000 Doves are beneath the freakish eccentric but thoughtful pop music that Gaga was churning out prior to Joanne , and with Chromatica kinda being billed as a "return to pop form" for her initially I was just … underwhelmed, as a long time fan. And I do believe that a lot of appreciation at that time (for just about everything DURING that time) has a undercurrent of "well the world is on fire and we might all die of COVID so let's just enjoy what we have" it's not all bad tho. Ironically the more straight forward pop tracks are the best offerings from that record. 911, Plastic Doll, Enigma, Replay are all fabulous tracks and we got a fun Ariana collab with Rain On Me. Good news is Mayhem was the real return to form I had been waiting for. - Madison Square Garden kept a list of gay celebrities
