If this forum was seriously committed to ethical consistency they would know that promoting Eurovision despite the ongoing situation is highly suspicious and questionable behavior.

Israel’s participation is unfortunate and extremely problematic. Just like Michael Jackson sleeping in beds with unrelated children was unfortunate and extremely problematic.

Thankfully people are willing to openly call out Israel’s war crimes and atrocities. Wish you were able to apply that same standard to the grown man you’ve spent the last week defending for sleeping in beds with unrelated children.

I also just want to clarify that the decision to make a Eurovision banner was solely my own. I did not make it in discussion with other staff.

I’ve also been very vocal that Israel should be removed from Eurovision, and consistently been advocating for a free Palestine and have called out the genocide there committed by the Israeli government.

I've already stated that MJ was not some normal guy and wasn't some flawless figure, but I am merely responding to the accusations against him with details. It's really irresponsible to paint this as the same as for instance R Kelly or Saville who had way more clues and details meanwhile the police and jury did not find anything damning. His estate has also been raided, yet still nothing. So please don't try to paint misleading accusations on the same level as convicted documentations.

Please no more MJ in the emotes. I already feel unsafe opening that tab! redface

Average American: I want my tax dollars to go to funding single payer healthcare instead of on military aid that lets an ethno-state tear the bodies of literal children to shreds.

Average Zionist retort:

Lack of “clues” or evidence does not automatically mean accusations are false. So please do not try to present your defense as though it exists on some objective moral high ground.

I’m a survivor of CSA myself, and “there’s no evidence” was weaponized against me too. Sorry there was no neat little piece of evidence people could hold up to make my abuse feel “real” enough for them, but that did not change the reality that I was abused by someone significantly older than me and still carry the trauma from it today.

No victim is perfect. No witness is perfect. Trauma is messy, inconsistent, and often difficult to prove in the neat, clinical way people demand before offering basic empathy. But when a grown man repeatedly surrounds himself with children, sleeps in beds with unrelated minors, and faces accusations spanning decades, people are not irrational for viewing that behavior as deeply disturbing. Where there’s smoke, there is often fire.

And honestly, dismissing alleged victims because they do not meet your personal threshold for “evidence” is incredibly insulting to many CSA survivors reading this thread.

It's also frying me they went into details about how people are allegedly calling for the elimination of Israelis?? deadbanana instead of, you know, the configuration of it as a "nation-state"

"WHERE WOULD THEY GO?" Mama they're not being asked to move, the Zionist brain cannot comprehend the idea of say, them becoming Jewish citizens of Palestine.

I would like to say that I am deeply sorry for your experiences and the trauma you have went/still going through. Please understand that CSA/sexual assault etc. are very serious. I just find it questionable how so many here are blurring the boundaries here trying to make it a joke for stan wars etc. Please know that despite accusations, they should be treated responsibly and nobody should turn them into some kind of 'gotcha' war. It actually trivializes CSA/sexual assault. But I really want this forum to take some accountability for their disingenuous behavior and make seriously vile remarks that I am 'defending pedophilia and gang rape'. It is seriously disturbing and the history of casual Israel propaganda makes me suspicious of many members motivations on here.

This is getting weird, especially when you take one piece of what I said and strip it out of context. And then you dismiss and invalidate my personal trauma and real-lived experiences who has family in the Middle East, many of whom had to leave or escape under gunfire and exile. I've already made it clear that I'm critical of both Israel and Palestine. And yes—shocker—the vast majority of people in the Middle East outside that specific region share the same or similar nuanced views. You wouldn't understand because you're not Middle Eastern nor do our lives matter to you. And yes, you can hold both positions without being mischaracterized or reduced to false labels, even if media narratives often frame the conflict in overly simplistic terms of good versus bad. I guess, however, being an antisemite and making inflammatory statements gets more approval on ATRL than advocating for peace in the region all while you completely ignore and diminish the broader context of the Middle East because no one else's life seems to matter. You're downplaying the value of certain lives while sitting comfortably in the West, as if some people are more expendable than others because once these systematically-oppressive entities and proxies are done killing and torturing minority groups, activists, artists, journalists — including gays and women — guess who they go for next? Once again, you present yourself as being against child predators, yet you don't condemn places where child marriage is still legally permitted or culturally tolerated. At the same time, you speak about opposing genocide and colonialism, but dont discuss the genocide of minority groups and colonialism in the Middle East and Africa. The double-standards and blatant hypocrisy, but also very on-brand for Americans.

he was saying false information about the broader Middle East region that could be easily debunked.

Debunk it then, MJPedo defender. We've been patiently waiting. Please, enlighten us on the broader Middle East and the systematic oppression of minority groups, including women and gays, that goes on in that region. celestial2 Unlike you, and also as an Arab-Latino, I'm capable of calling out oppressive governments, child abuse, hypocrisy, and the gender inequality that continues to exist there. In fact, most Middle Easterners do outside of (Palestine/Isr*el) because we don't just follow blind narratives that tend to be underreported, or ignored altogether. celestial2
