I actually don't believe bey distanced herself from the dream. If anything the nonsense Jay just went through will give her more confidence to stand by him if she does not believe the accusations against him.

I think this is just a simple case of bey being a perfectionist.

Bey most likely agreed to host the met after finalising everything with her rollout .

I miss the days of the Beyonce drought when we was waiting for new music back in early 2013 and also around the period before Ren. This new drought is draining because so much of the discussions is negativity.

I will say it wouldn't necessarily be bad if she made the call to scrub Dream from the record as much as possible. Whether he's guilty or not just having him attached to the new album will cause a conversation and not a positive one. I'm not saying it's gonna be Dr. Luke/Katy level but still if it can be avoided then it's smart business to avoid it. I can already see the headlines smh. The music needs to be the focus more than anything else.

It's unfortunate the men in her life continue to be a nuisance.

according to the court documents the motion for the case to be dismissed was denied in December, it's now about to go through "discovery" they probably waited to see if the judge would dismiss the case before making any changes

this timeline is making sense based on that article...

Kelly's husband just posted photos from her studio sessions and The Dream is featured in them. If Beyoncé had delayed her album and removed him from all the songs, I doubt Kelly would be in the studio with him

That's the thing, I never interpreted the Bey x Dream thing as being a personal distancing. They are are as good as family and the real world does not operate like social media with the automatic convctions and cancelation sans concrete proof. It's probably just professional distancing (for now) for the simple reality that the ramifications for Bey's project/brand could be adversely impacted by the scandal.

I wouldn't even be surprised if there have been frank convos about it between them. Dream is way too seasoned and knows way more than even us (in terms of the ins and outs of Bey's operation) to be ever be aloof or even offended by her need to be extremely careful. Because if they (she, him, everyone else involved) aren't cateful, there's a world where his legal shenanigans could have real-world impacts for the reception of her whole project (see: Katy Perry/Dr. Luke). It must be a pain retooling things, and personally, in their friendship, must be awkward af, but it (should be) a universally understood... necessity.

As for the Kelly thing, I love Bey, Kelly, DC to the max, but realistically, there are different ramifications for them. Kelly is most beloved in R&B circles, who never ousted or condemned Dream in the first place. By contrast, Beyonce is BEYONCE and I will maintain that in the absence of any real scandal, she would be handing the haters a storyline on platter by having her whole victory lap Act III "exec produced by an (alleged) abuser". It's just not worth the drama.

The irony of the report coming in now is that I semi-regularly check for updates on the Dream's case for this very reason. Because, if dismissed, it's effectively coast clear, if not, it's a "I wonder how Bey/Parkwood will pivot." To be a fly on the wall in her crisis managment meetings!

Let's just wait and see what happens until 2026 ends. Keep streaming her stuff until then.
