The fact Beyoncé is Paris in April makes me hopeful that she's wearing Schiaparelli to the Met

Although of course there are other brands she has a relationship with who are also based there: LV, Balmain & Givenchy

I am here for Schiaparelli they have some of the most impressive couture looks in recent times.....LV and Givenchy are boring lol the Balmain looks have been a bit too drab and heavy handed in the last collection.

I agree a regular appearance at the Met Gala would mean nothing

But there is no way in that Beyoncé would agree to CO-CHAIR the Met Gala

AND

Have that announced months in advancE… If she had nothing to promote

Her nephew is launching a clothing line, so fear not, this is building up just for Julez

But I'm saying... what if what she's promoting is just herself and a lack of music.

Part of what made BEYONCÉ such a moment, aside from the surprise/visual album aspect of it, was that she was EVERYWHERE in 2013 while the public/fans simultaneously expected her to release music at every turn. And this being the last act, there's a potential need to tease it out a bit rather than just do it as scheduled, as expected.

And overall, all I'm saying is everyone here acts like they were personally insulted by Beyoncé herself when they decide she's releasing and then she ultimately doesn't. How many times have we been right? How many times have we been wrong? How many September 4ths have occurred without a drop? I think it's silly to think with any certainty that we know what she's doing, and sillier to be offended when we are wrong.

Beyoncé's tactics over the years have us guessing and second guessing everything. We're triple bluffing ourselves. We have no idea which way is up.

The Met is the Super Bowl of fashion. If not even bigger. The 2025 Met Gala generated 12.3 billion social media impressions in two days.

Sure, Beyoncé can generate her own hype but that sort of exposure can't hurt.

While that sounds good on paper.....we know most of those views will not translate to Beyonce streams-

I don't think the Met Gala is inherently an indication that something is coming this month (or directly after).

If there is any marketing machination, it could be, just that she's making an appearance to re-up her public image/brand and make people wonder "when is act iii coming out?" similar to the Beyhyrdation of 2013 where she was in so many places which drove hype. And since this is the final act, I can kind of see points in her dragging it out a big. The clear pattern of releasing has already been established twice over. SO, in order that this base doesn't have a meltdown, I think it's best to manage expectations and not be assured that something is coming, only to get disappointed if it does not. If it does, then wow you were right, or you were surprised or you simply get new music sooner than later.

Oh she WILL BE DRAGGED FOE FILTH if we dont get anything by June, but cute attempt of u to soothe us. You failed

True but neither does instagram likes or even a Super Bowl performance. Exposure is exposure.

Lets be honest, you have a strong point. Bucking what is expected of her is her primary play to build hype. There will be a lot of frustration and disappointment if nothing comes with MET (just getting her profile and 'look' out there) and that is exactly when the questions, the doubts, the wondering what she's doing will go into overdrive - and she thrives off that. I can totally see it happening.

Beyoncé hype isn't enough to promote or sustain a record anymore, and Beyoncé knows that

But she can not drop at the Met Gala, and still do more later when it's time to promote or sustain a record.

And also, when has she last promoted or sustained a record?

she just needs to get the hive active and buzzing and confused and angry and a couple of blogs and articles around her. She might do a magazine spread... we will all expect it to talk about music and instead she will be promoting Julez and Blue and explain why she loves fashion and the MET.

I barely revisit Conman Carer aside from AMERICAN REQUIEM and BODYGUARD

But it's still one of my fave B albums idk why

this isnt 2013 though, miss girl doesn't leave the house these days unless a check is involved. she has slowed down a LOT, and has stated how much more intentional she is with her brand and exposure. so i truly don't think she would show up and co-chair the met gala unless she needed to be seen at a high profile event. especially since its been a decade since she was last there and had one of the most show-stopping looks.

She launched CC at the Super Bowl and then launched the tour with the NFL performance. But even that wasn't enough to sustain the record beyond a strong first week and ticket sales for CCWT were more sluggish than RWT.

but you're kind of answering your own problem you outlined.

  1. she doesn't leave the house anymore

  2. she wouldn't co-chair the met gala unless she needed to be seen

  3. if she wanted to drum up interested in her new record without having to actually launch it, if she wants people to feel they need the music, she needs to be seen somewhere high profile reminding them that she exists and is currently without a music release scheduled

  4. she's co-chairing the met gala

Basically only the Hive is anticipating act iii at this point. if she does the Met Gala, looks "rock" or whatever it would begin to activate the GP, similar to how the Grammys cowboy hat did it. If anything, we are getting new music AFTER the Met Gala, surely not before. If I'm wrong that's fun, but I'd rather be pleasantly surprised than let down by my own expectations I decided with no basis whatsoever.

i keep revisiting it on daily basis, mostly through CCT live (fan made) album. this album took me a year to really settle in. and even after 2 years i notice sometjing new, or something clicks differently. by far her most complex album and most mature. some of her best songs are on this album.
