Kelly publicly supported Chris Brown not too long ago, and we know Beyoncé would NEVER.

If we're being honest, Kelly is the one from DC who deserves the "not that bright" drags, not Bey. Also, while I'm at it, Britney and Christina can barely put a sentence together, but Beyoncé was the pop star being called stupid for carefully thinking through what she had to say. Wonder why?

If the The-Dream mess is real, it most likely also means we won't get major insights into all the behind the scenes stuff for the trilogy outside of small and random producer tidbits.

was it ever likely we would get that?

I realized what I am most eager for (ofc along with the music): What B has to say with act-iii. Renaissance was self-confidence, escape to the dance floor post Covid, reclaiming and evolving a genre, etc. CC was about the many aspects of her life, breaking free from the 'boxes' people put us in, especially those of genres and race, about America, its history and forcing an evolution (an inclusive and healing one), and many other themes. It feels like her evolution as a person post Lemonade.

I wonder what statement she has to make with Act-iii. We have the basics of going beyond genres, reclaiming forgotten history and inclusion of Black and minority voices, etc. But other than that, I wonder what the 'statement' will be. We had dancefloor escape, reclaiming her place in country music and going beyond boundaries and American racism (through a western films lens). Act-iii?

No clueeee

As long as the music is good, that's all that matters.

Conman Carter was amazing.

RIGHT? Even when all that happened and I was in what, middle school, the whole "Beyonce can't talk" mess rubbed me the wrong way based on the fact that she's simply less "bubbly" perhaps (at least in interviews) than her peers at the time... (also, yours was the first post to do that ATRL thing where ppl take other ppls avi and add it to their post, so I feel honored haha)

Well, between the assumption that the album is rooted in rock and according to the rumor from yesterday, perhaps even metal, coupled with Jay saying, "2025 was about defense, 2026 is about offense," I have a feeling she's going to unleash a lot of the anger and hurt she must've felt the last few years.

Some people have expressed concerns that the music may be outdated or she may have moved on since the acts were recorded in 2020, but I have a feeling this new act was largely recorded in the last few years. She probably laid the foundations during the pandemic and knew where she wanted to go sonically, but I'd wager the majority of the work on act iii has been done since 2024.

Shes going to serve DHY times 8 and I am so ready for it jonny5

Considering the world is going to shits, music has been way to sugarcoat-y and sweet. We need music that stands for sth, that voices our feelings. And i have a feeling Bey will give us that and all the A-listers will follow suit.

That' my hope. I want her to go all out but I think 'politically' she's gonna play it a bit lukewarm (that's my fear). The times are insane enough to go all out

Olivia painted that wall and now she's announced the album release date for June.

I still believe Act III will be released next month.

it's cute that you think we would've gotten that anyway rip

Kelly's husband just posted photos from her studio sessions and The Dream is featured in them. If Beyoncé had delayed her album and removed him from all the songs, I doubt Kelly would be in the studio with him

Hmm it means bey could either be releasing in May or late June or July. I suspect May or Late June

I don't think the Met Gala is inherently an indication that something is coming this month (or directly after).

If there is any marketing machination, it could be, just that she's making an appearance to re-up her public image/brand and make people wonder "when is act iii coming out?" similar to the Beyhyrdation of 2013 where she was in so many places which drove hype. And since this is the final act, I can kind of see points in her dragging it out a big. The clear pattern of releasing has already been established twice over. SO, in order that this base doesn't have a meltdown, I think it's best to manage expectations and not be assured that something is coming, only to get disappointed if it does not. If it does, then wow you were right, or you were surprised or you simply get new music sooner than later.

I agree a regular appearance at the Met Gala would mean nothing

But there is no way in that Beyoncé would agree to CO-CHAIR the Met Gala

AND

Have that announced months in advancE… If she had nothing to promote

The fact Beyoncé is Paris in April makes me hopeful that she's wearing Schiaparelli to the Met

Although of course there are other brands she has a relationship with who are also based there: LV, Balmain & Givenchy

  • I agree but is the Met ratings a big enough opportunity to launch a Beyonce product or music?

  • I think her own brand equity is still big enough to get a big buzz by means of a simple instagram post.

  • So I am trying to get how much she can leverage the Met, to benefit the music or product that she is supposedly about to launch....lets also remember that most of these celebrity-centred shows are significantly losing ratings and viewership over the years.

The Met is the Super Bowl of fashion. If not even bigger. The 2025 Met Gala generated 12.3 billion social media impressions in two days.

Sure, Beyoncé can generate her own hype but that sort of exposure can't hurt.
