Its a NO for me  , not interesting at all ( except 2 3 songs ) 

 

That being said , AAAHH MEN is a massive bop and it should have been the main single focus 

I agree that there aren't huge earworms like with Hot Pink or Planet Her but this feels like the first album of hers (or at least first since Amala) that feels like it's meant to be really consumed as a body of work. I'm trying to save a couple to my library but Im hesitating cause I feel like I won't like it without it being in the context of the album  I kinda got that feeling from Scarlet too but not a lot of the songs stuck.

Take Me Dancing (SZAs verse not as memorable as KMM but it's alright)

 

Normally I wouldn't think twice about the more vibey songs but I feel like I would appreciate them a lot more while driving down the road during a sunset or something. There are some weaker ones (Happy, Couples Therapy still solid tho) and stronger ones (Gorgeous, Stranger). Alot of them kinda blend together though. I need to relisten to Make it up, Acts of Service and Lipstain to fully form an opinion on those two. I can see why they chose JT as the the lead as it's still the catchiest song and has the strongest hook...if that didnt smash I'm not sure what else from the album will. Maybe AAHH MEN! could go viral on TikTok idk

It started very strong to me, but I kind of agree with the flattening. However, to me it starts around the SZA collab, but picks up for the last 3 tracks.

Nevertheless, I still think it's a strong album and will definitely play it again.

Some of the later songs are definitely piquing my interest; "Silly! Fun!" and "One More Time", for example. So, I think I just need to give the album a couple of listens for it to really click with me. I don't dislike any of the songs, but I'm not hooked like I was immediately with "Jealous Type".

The album is gag central.

This is definitely more cohesive listen compared to her past albums. After the first spin, Scarlet may still be my favorite album from her still, granted I prefer her rapping (whether it's over a pop, rap, or R&B beat) over her singing.

i don't get her, when she's joking or being real anymore

like that drama with the musty t-shirt boy, but mainly her stating hot pink & planet her were cash grabs and now releasing an even more pop album than those two... so we should assume this is a cash grab too? but with the $250 vinyl prices not sure there will be much to grab

Are people still up in arms about the cash grab comments
