especially for us Janet - Control fans this is a gift and strangely feels 100% in her element.

 

really love the r&b leaning ones in the middle to take us away from the 80s vibe for a while before returning at it again.

She never disappoints. 
 

I know it will get better with each listen by discovering more layers, it's that kind of an album.

 

It's also refreshing to get an actual body of work this time from her instead of bunch of singles + a few songs that sound out of place which has been her shtick for the past 3 albums.

Idk, this album just feels so sexy overall, just like she said

I just had my first listen on my way to work. I love it, however there is one skip and some notes. 

 

Come Back could have been replaced by Who Are You or Crack. 

 

and

 

I don't like the over use of high pitched singing and saxophone. 

 

 

Janet's spirit definitely possessed her body in the studio but she still put her own stamp on it, very solid album  The '80s influence sounds so natural and effortless, many artists make it sound like they're cosplaying, but it works here wonderfully

 

My only gripe is that some of the songs kinda blend together (especially around the second half), imma need to spend some more time with it

All mine is hot pink coded

Y2K really did an amazing production job on this album.  

he aint hungry for the money, i say come and eat the rich 

i really dislike the gorgeous mv  i get what they were going for but it's not great

or maybe i feel this way cause it's the second mv of this era

This album is so r&b and so doja... it reminds me of her debut and hot pink more than planet her. The only song giving me planet her vibes is take me dancing (smash). I don't agree with people saying it's a cash grab, it's not as poppy and commercial as you would think (not that there would be anything bad with that), most of the tracks are not even uptempo. Jealous Type, Gorgeous and Take Me Dancing are the catchiest

This album is really really good. I'm annoyed with the streaming cover tho, it's literally giving nothing. I want to look at the Paris cover when I listen to it.

Enough time has passed for me to confidently say that this is her best by far……
