  1. it is one of my favorite gaga songs ever, if not my favorite so underrated and I hope it stays that way and Tik Tok doesn't find it cause I dont want it to tire me
  2. I still haven't seen the video but I've been sick to my stomach since last night reading and hearing descriptions of it Please if you haven't watched it either, don't seek it out. I usually can stomach some gore but this just sounds too twisted
  3. Thankfully I haven't seen anything so I deleted X and it will stay like that for a couple of days This is horrible
  4. also I think they're similar in the sense they both were conceived during hard / dark times in their author's lives and explore dark themes they are alike circumstantially but I will stand 10 toes down in that petal will age better Artpop does have better mixing tho but for the most part the content is subpar
  5. oh never get over me is HITTING today EDIT: HOLY **** I JUST NOTICED IT SAMPLES IRONSIDE BY QUINCY JONES ON THE SECOND PRECHORUS ITS WAY IN THE BACK BUT ITS THERE
  6. aw did my opinion upset you? nobody is talking about Artpop btw except little monsters with questionable taste! have a beautiful day
  7. it's impossible for me to make a ranking because I'm so biased rn but ill try: eternal sunshine positions dangerous woman sweetener petal thank u next my everything yours truly AND i loved positions the second it came out
  8. MY HEART IN YOUR HANDS DESPITE ALL OF MY PLAAANS
  9. both experimental but I doubt petal is going to age as badly as ARTPOP there are some good timeless (or at least just good) songs in ARTPOP like Venus, Fashion! and Applause (MJH and title track might sneak) but the rest is a little too 2013 try-hard grungy edm and didn't age well at all imo most of petal sounds timeless
  10. excellently said
  11. while I love her and wish she was everywhere, I think this is for the best I hope she finds genuine healing and has a good support system
  12. the song I'm feeling the least rn is big feelings (I still bop to it) but the rest is IMMACULATE I'm so happy she gave us something different that is a little harder to digest because once it truly hits it's such a good feeling
  13. after 10+ plays i have a few observations I love hate that i made you love me but its placement in the album bothers me what happened to bridges? I've seen this trend a lot recently in music in general and it frightens me because good bridges are many times more magical than a good chorus and people don't wanna do bridges anymore the only thing that I would really say is missing from this project (imo) is bridges anyways other than that I find the album truly amazing and creative
  14. love both, but Renaissance
  15. I see what you're saying entirely and I'm with you and your concern, but sometimes (not 100% of the cases) people with those types of EDs are looking for that same exact reaction (expressing concern and pointing out how unhealthily thin they are) which could very well feed into anyone's ED who might read it instead of helping at all that's why I say the conversation is misdirected
  16. the problem with acknowledging it, despite anyone being allowed to, is that it helps absolutely no one. it's obvious she's very thin, everyone has addressed it over and over again for at least a year. she wasn't going to magically gain weight for the music video. is it concerning? absolutely, is it our business to talk about her body specifically? I really don't think so. I think it's a very important conversation to have but I don't think making her the subject of the conversation is going to help anyone, it's misdirected.
  17. critics hate it this is a good sign
  18. this actually makes perfect sense as a successor of ES (deluxe), if anything the vibe is similar to the deluxe tracks but not the ES standard ones which is interesting (in the way that you can tell this is 100% her most authentic creative self - I love that)
  19. oh bunny hop! I want her to explore this sound more
  20. the fact that people's favorites differ so much in here makes me think the album as a whole will grow on everybody myself included, like I know I'm listening to a great ******* song but the lack of catchy hooks makes it hard for me to think about coming back, but I think (and hope) that it's one of those situations where when clicks it will be addictive so far: kiss me petal stay freak are my faves
  21. I think it's clear what they meant her voice is better and more capable than its ever been, but creatively she's not into belting her heart out in a song, and that's ok I actually think its cool she kinda gatekeeps lol
  22. "not all argentinians" do we know nuance or
  23. whew still gagged I haven't even gotten to the last 5 tracks which I've seen a lot of you guys rave about, I literally haven't even listened to them... I'm still processing and growing into tracks 1 - 7 it's a good thing for me tho to know there's still a lot of music to grow into within this same album
