Why Renaissance? I'd say it's really between BEYONCÉ and Lemonade, with Lemonade being the most robbed one out of those two. Lemonade was a cultural moment, slaps from track one to the very last song, and it still felt like Beyoncé at her sharpest both sonically and visually. Renaissance has some incredible highs, with America Has a Problem arguably being her best song ever, but the lyrics are way too on the nose, and to me that album is where her projects started to nosedive in writing quality. Some of the Church Girl lyrics are straight up grotesque. Overall presentation aside, Lemonade had the stronger music, the stronger visuals, the stronger cultural impact, and just that *****. But a BEYONCÉ win would've also been very well deserved.

Stateside actually had a good bone structure, none of the songs on that album have that.

This remix album is completely unnecessary. The album itself is pretty mid, and a deluxe version with a bona fide hit would've done a lot more for the momentum she has right now.
