So I def like this more than Scarlet based on first listen, will need a few more listens to see where it lies with the rest of her work. Gorgeous, One More Time, Happy and Stranger were my favorites in addition to Jealous Type. I don't know how this'll do commercially but she delivered a great piece of work.

I think this is her best work yet. I feel the album falters a bit towards the latter half (the last 5 tracks) but that's mostly because she set the bar so high with the first half.

Gorgeous is especially GORGEOUS. And I have to say the lyricism on this album is of much better quality than Scarlet. 

 

I love how she managed to take the 80's theme and breathe new life into it, with a modern twist & make it undeniably, Doja. I don't think anyone can quite do what she does.

Silly! Fun! is a huuuuge bop 

It's a good album, but a lot of it doesn't click with me, at least not immediately. Will need to spend more time with this. 

 

The last 5 tracks are my initial faves

Yeah I don't care what anybody says but this is a fantastic record. Truly an album that she should be proud and now I understand why everyone involved was so confident and she seems so at peace with it. It's both nostalgic and timeless. While it is cohesive and can make it monotonous to listeners. She REALLY needs to not give up on this era and give these standouts the single treatment

She can easily have another Planet Her era if she plays her cards right. This is objectively a fantastic record. The worst thing anyone can say about it is that its a "grower" but this is on no way shape or form a bad record at all. I am genuinely impressed with how sincere her presence is in this record without compromising her being her unapologetic self. Bravo Doja 👏🏽

I swear I heard prince when when she hit those falsetto notes 

is not bad but is kinda too linear, like... it needed some standout tracks to elevate it

 

Doja Cat had no mercy with this album
