Nepo baby buys VMA nomination, shocked?
VMA nominations were released today and out of boredom I chose to go through the major nominations. Most of BNA nominee's are nobodies but I can recognize they had at least a viral song charting on Billboard Hot 100 at some point or in the case of CORTIS, the BB200. I didn't know who Marcus Ferrell was so I looked him up, imagine my shock when I realized this is comedian Will Ferrell's son And on top of that he barely has 1M monthly listeners on Spotify and his best charting song ever was only #24 on the Digital Downloads Chart. He doesn't even have his own page on Wikipedia. The FRAUDERY Has nepotism in pop gone too far?

Olivia Rodrigo received only two nominations at the VMAs. Why?
Resorting to VMA nominations cause YSPS ends MBF in talent, acclaim, and success

Pitchfork rates 'WILD' by Katseye 4.5/10
Most of the (reasonable) criticism is on their label who have a history of exploiting idols for monetary gain & ruin their lives if they go against that, not really the group themselves unlike with Britney so how is this remotely comparable Also anyone will say 5H, Britney, etc were all exploited at some point so these are truly the worst examples to be using in here OT: I'm so glad Manon left, imagine overworking yourself for some really bad music with very little input. I will say Hootie Frutti is a banger though

IKIIKY bombing on all streaming platforms, #16 on US callouts. Why?
Same fanbase that wants to go on coke rants about BOAF's imaginary autoplay when this is 10x more egregious

Most forgotten female R&B hits of the early 2020s; surprised?
We need more alt R&B like Good Days or classic R&B sounding songs like Snooze from SZA I fear

Hayden Panettiere dead at 36
I kind of feel this way with the conspiracies I've seen going around. It feels like anytime there's a premature celebrity death people are desperate to prove that they got killed by Hollywood elites or something, many times they don't even wait a day before starting the theories up. How hard is it to say rest in peace and go.....

Hayden Panettiere dead at 36
I remember reading somewhere that she was trying to be a better mother to her daughter after years struggling with addiction & postpartum depression....so heartbreaking

Zara Larsson: "Touring basically non-profit"

Grammys 2027: Olivia vs Olivia, who will win?
I would give Dean the edge for now given probably has a better chance at solidifying cross-genre support with her sound & the fact that OR will be competing with others with similar alt/indie appeal like Phoebe or even Kahan. And OR's team has completely fumbled on the radio end, sending a song like my way to alt radio would help her chances a lot. Meanwhile Dean already has two very popular songs in SETFIL & MIN with A Couple Minutes just being sent recently and Rein Me In likely to join with the way it's been rising on Spotify. We'll see though, OR has some chances to play the game right with Daisy Chain Fest etc

Is the world turning too conservative?
I've also been seeing way too many transphobic posts get way too many likes & reposts for my liking as of late. Part of me thinks it's really a concentrated smear campaign from far-right social media higher ups to get voters to vote red for midterms because the obsession and constant discourse is just insane given they're a very tiny % of the population
