A decent boost on streaming for Ophelia & a quick #1? It just seems like a baffling decision from someone who is usually so image/PR-savvy to the point where she knew to disappear from the public eye for a bit following the backlash after 1989.

As someone who kinda assumed she would just be a niche pop star when she first released her EP, I'm genuinely intrigued. KATSEYE have the KPOP backing, the global girl group branding, the industry push and are obviously growing every era. But Adela's growth has almost been exponential considering she went from having her first EP out last year to a #1 on US Spotify in just over a year, something KATSEYE couldn't do despite being out for 2 years. What went right? I should also note that Sophia just released a solo song that made 0 noise

Is there any actual interest in the album outside of the singles? Because that'll be the true teller. Billie & Olivia had the gargantuan album track stats to back up the hits on their debuts, same with Sabrina on SnS, and even Tate had impressive longevity with SCTW despite not really having a monster smash on that album.

The tea I've been hearing is that HYBE/Geffen blocked this last year and it's just now coming to light. Not like we needed anymore proof but she's definitely gone if this is the case
