I don't actually dislike folklore, but I do find the reaction to expressing even mildest dislike for it, especially among other swifties, as funny. Its very easy to poke a reaction out of people by not revering it like its a bible or something (the defenders of it WILL come out to argue every time without fail), since so many people in the fanbase seem to treat it like one. Not to mention people, especially outside of the fanbase, seem to all mostly agree that it is her best album, when neither of those things are true. Its not even her best album that year.
