idk i can see both sides why some will love it and others will hate it.

Could you all imagine how the video would be like if no one showed up at the park yesterday or the police somehow arrested her?

There could be 100 people in the park but only one of them showed up

I think you can see some quick scenes of her dancing alone in the park so I think she always had a backup :deadbanana2:

I have to be honest,

Lorde isn't the prettiest girl is she?

The no make-up look in the video and her eye bags/wrinkles is NOT it but the song is great.

This comment.. what was that?

Girl- it's just shes not aging that well. I'm not a fan of the zero make up. she looks mid 30s without it.

LOVE the song

Edited by Plasticdoll

the song has the same/similar squeaky swings sound as hard feeling/loveless lol

melodically... lorde, come up with something new.

its fine, but nothing too exciting. glad shes back

I really think the parallels are super intentional, yeah. I'd be shocked if they're not. It's like a second take on some similar feelings, another kind of closure.

It's funny how she ends GL with "I'm waiting for it, that green light, I want it", and WWT ends with "When I'm in the blue light, I can make it alright"

It sounds like the chaos in the brain when you go back and forth to a situationship until you CUT the damn CORD. And you're left like.. what WAS that??? Don't worry Lorde I see the vision

Girl, gaga is gorgeous! she looks refreshed. did you watch coachella?

Anyway "what was that" is a fantastic song

hopefully... she doesn't "shhh" the fans when she performs it

the song is not bad at all... but i also think a lot of you guys are way too excited because it's her first song in years... when in reality the song is just that. it's not bad, but not excellent either :noparty:

And at the end of the day, she is 100 times hotter than your ass

just report it and continue. :lmao:

Aren't you in gaga threads dragging the fans all through disease and abra?

Ironic!

Anyway, i love the song. she just doesn't scream "pop star" to me.

Lorde has always had an indie type style.

Hands down the worst music video of the year maybe even the last 4 years :deadbanana4:

Zero budget for a lead video.

 Who's her manger?

This is the concept for the era lol where have you been?

I don't love the song, but I guess it's meant to put her back into orbit...still so perched for the album, it's not even produced by Hynes so

ok i don't even like Lorde or the song like that, truly, but this was a cool music video. in a world where everything is so high budget and overproduced sometimes all you need is an iphone camera and passion to convey a song. even if it was a miss for me (the song, that is), i give her props for the video it's bold and visceral. there's a difference between being a hater and being delusional !!

i acc gravitated to the mv more than the song lol.

This is great, light years better than mostly anything on SP. I feel it like a mix of her first two records. Perched for the album.

The line about covering all the mirrors and not being ready to see herself yet hits so much. The lyrics overall are stellar. Love the "Step out into the street, alone in a sea", such a poetic way to describe loneliness in a crowded space.
