I think any Stan receives second hand embarrassment from their own base from time to time. Taylor just has a much larger base than the rest. 

Swifties being dragged for caring about numbers like we don't hear about Gaga's TFM numbers or Britney's 1998 sales 24/7 

yes the obsession with stats and numbers has become overwhelming more recently 

yes. specially with the theories. i try my best to stay away from the drama as much as possible being a swiftie myself. apart from reddit, i had the worst time interacting with them in all forums i've ever been to.

Yeah, and even when they do, it's something like "how is Taylor local at all?" and then the thread gets 14 pages of haters trying to prove how she's local because she's not popular in the African continent and how Rihanna is popular there for selling out a show in South Africa. 

How are Swifties any more insufferable than Gaga, Beyonce or Rihanna stans? Just because Taylor is winning right now doesn't mean the fanbase is more "insufferable"

Yes, just like any other fanbase is, and like every other O_Hs are. 

 

It just happens that Taylor has the biggest following after Lady Gaga on this website and that she is the most successful. So she obviously gather more O_Hs, like any artist that gets "too big" and so the huge following retaliate. The cycle just continues to escalate gradually until the artist is slowing down because O_Hs are satisfied and fans are humbled. Taylor Swift staying on top and becoming more and more dominant as the years go by just made that process escalate for a much longer time that what is usually the case and that's why we're in the situation we're in right now. 

 

Swifties are tired of O_H constantly trying to bring Taylor down (from literally every single angle possible), and O_H are tired because Taylor is not failing yet. 

 

The exact same pattern happen for any artist when they're on top. Just look at the recent case with Rihanna. She's been taking the heat for all her career when she was active. Until the Superbowl she was more and more revered and respected, and as soon as she gets a career boost thanks to the Superbowl the entire website is coming at her again. That's just stan world, and any fanbase thinking they're better than another is just a joke.

Pretty much this. I think one of the reasons I'm able to appreciate Taylor more now is by not being involved in her fanbase's wars on ATRL and other networks.

 

Not like I need to like the fanbase to enjoy someone's music but that kind of behavior just pushes people away if you know what I mean.

no not necessarily. some fanbases are really small but rude and obnoxious like xtina stans. 

No, I'm sure like every other fanbase they have their own rotten apples, but I don't think I would classify them with the most annoying fanbases.
