I feel bad for them but at the same time I get you, when someone you really love is struggling it comes natural to kinda be that "anchor person" for them (of course while guiding them towards professional who have means to help them properly) but if you feel like it's a burden you just lack that connection and you deserve to free yourself from it.

The album performance is expected in my opinion and I wouldn't worry too much, she still feels on top of the world right now, the tour is smashing and it's clear her power is bigger than ever, it's just that the music didn't click with half of her audience - and mostly the gp, while discourse about her personal issues are overshadowing it at the same time. Nothing to worry about, as long as she's happy and healthy we should just enjoy the music.

I think she cares about the music a lot but now that she has artistic freedom she releases what she wants and she's willing to sacrifice chart success to pick her favourite songs as singles, especially if she has a vision for the music videos, she seems very passionate about that lately. It's clear Petal wasn't the most radio/playlist friendly song but she still went for it. Ultimately HTIMYLM is a smash and her tour is doing its part.
