Nnnnn Choosin' Texas will probably get the biggest wrapped effect in history in the USA .

But we're not so close to the end of the year that I think it will be a factor in competing for number 1. The song is slowing, if only slowly. And by the time wrapped numbers matter, Christmas music is already surging anyway.

It all depends on who else releases and whether Taylor is releasing an actual smash. Fortnight, for instance, clearly wouldn't fend off CT for multiple weeks, even as a standalone single.

I am glad that this song will basically have time to run its entire course before the Christmas freeze (that was SO frustrating with Anti-Hero and Ophelia), but I hate her ass for always chopping her year-end points in half.

This could end up a bigger smash than Ophelia and still has no chance at a year-end number 1 with a September release.

Truthfully, I would love it if she wrote it and produced it with someone who is not her standard collaborators.. or even if it's self written.

She mastered the process of maximizing commercial sales through variants, limited time lines (only available for 24 hrs!) and imposed scarcity (imposed because it's purely her choice, there isn't actually a scarcity of any of her products she just chooses to limit it to drive demand). All of these are solely marketing techniques, and they have nothing to do with music. Especially a situation like this. No one has even heard the song and they have dropped limited edition, 24 hrs only sales to ensure it's sold out. With no one even hearing the song, it shouldn't be allowed to chart as a popular song. It's a popular product.
