Why do people gag so hard over Tate McRae?
I've now seen her live and she's such a great dancer, has a good voice, and I actually like a lot of her songs. I mean it's the same reasons anyone likes most pop girls it's not that difficult to understand. Plus this current era of pop girls they aren't really dancers so she stands out for that too.

Is the new Apple CEO hot?
So real. And if they don't even have to be built or anything just not fat.

Zara Larsson is a superstar with a mediocre catalogue, why?
She just broke through with Midnight Sun, so I think it is like a Sabrina situation where she considers this her breakthrough "debut" and will likely release a follow up in the same vein. Most people discovered her with this era so her discography is almost more for die-hards except for the singles like Lush Life. You can think of her as a new artist and look forward to her next releases rather than concern yourself with her old music not cutting it for you.

Who is the most universally beloved living female public figure?
Madonna is the blueprint and people have come around to recognizing her contributions not just to music but to culture.

I feel like I don't fit in with gay social groups
It's not just gay groups, that kind of hyper, shallow, performative fabulousness can happen with in other types of straight groups too. But also, there are gay guys of every personality type and just like there are people of every personality type and there are absolutely gay guys who love to talk about music and movies together in groups. You just have to find your people. And also, sometimes it's just the type of night. Some people in a certain pre-gaming mood, or at a party, are dying for that kind of drag race energy and they run with it but other nights they would be perfectly happy to chat about the odyssey. So don't necessarily write people off for one night either. But def protect your peace and leave situations where you aren't enjoying yourself.

Christina Aguilera had more hits than Madonna. Why?
This has got to be a troll thread Madonna has had 38 top ten hits, and 12 number ones. Christina has had only 11 top ten hits and 2 number ones. Atro is such a wasteland of ragebaity fully untrue statements followed by "Why?"

Is Tate McRae a way better dancer than Britney ever was?
Britney is def more of an icon, but i think it's true that Tate is a better dancer.

Is the Radical Optimism era by Dula Peep an example of longevity > peaks?
Also, her Radical Optimism tour was even more successful than the Future Nostalgia tour, so she's stayed popular as an artist. She even did some stadiums. Charts are clearly not the only metric of success.

Rihanna is more versatile as an artist than Gaga. Surprised?
Atrl - "completely insane personal opinion hilariously stated as a fact". Then "Surprised?" I'm only surprised at the continued audacity to gaslight everyone with crazy takes disguised as facts.
- Enough time has passed. Can we admit Confessions I was never a good album as a whole?

Enough time has passed. Can we admit Confessions II is kinda bland?
Could not disagree more. These "enough time has passed" posts are just a new version of "unpopular opinion" posts and it's almost always a crap take.

Why Christina was never able to transition into a touring force?
It's strange that she didn't tour behind her debut album which was a massive hit with Genie in a bottle and what a girl wants and come on over. She was huge when she came out, I didn't realize she never toured that album. And then for stripped which was also a big album she did a double tour instead of touring on her own. It's unfortunate that she didn't capitalize on the popularity of her first two eras with solo tours (or even any tour at all for her first album).

Exactly when did you become an OTH?
I used to like some of her music especially 1989, snd even went to zeras. I was never a stan but maybe a casual fan. But it really pissed me off that she and Jack Antonoff took 50% of the writer credit for Deja Vu just because she shouts a bit in the bridge. That's an insanely selfish and ludicrous abuse of power on a young artist. I really couldn't stand that she did that and then she kept giving me additional reasons to hate her, like the way she would suddenly drop a millionth variant to block a new artist from getting number one. Just completely over her now.

Gracie Abrams says that the nepo baby discourse surrounding her is appropriate
Such a smart take. Unqualified nepotism babies get hired and promoted all the time in the business world, and no one can touch them. Nepo baby actors get cast in projects they didn't deserve to be in but will get eviscerated critically if they're no good but will get more work if they prove themselves. Music is probably the hardest to get away with relying on being a bro baby. You don't have a surrounding cast to prop you up like in a tv show or movie. You have get fans based on your music your talent and your own charisma

Honestly tho Loose aged like fine wine too.

Favorite 3rd album by a Canadian female artist?
I read the title and thought it was ludicrously hyperspecific but then I saw the options and this really is a superstrong sub-sub-category. Legendary albums here. I think Alanis or Carly have to take it.

Did the AI that redesigned the site forget to add a search bar or am I blind?
On the topic of things that changed, there used to be some kind of system that assigned a different symbol to users based on number of posts, that also went away. I remember there was a page that would say what level you had achieved and then one day it was all gone. It wasn't as useful as a search bar but I wonder why there were so many changes.
