I LOVE that more mainstream pop girls are being influenced by that 2010s bedroom pop/rap sound. I hope it becomes a trend.- The best and worst Lana Del Rey *influenced* songs.
Once again I was simply providing examples of songs that are frequently compared to Lana's style to provoke discussion of artists other than the usual suspects. Clearly it backfired because people would rather argue semantics than engage with the prompt. I didn't choose just a random torch song but a song that was directly cited as being influenced by Lana. It's fine if people disagree with its inclusion but I wish they were actually explaining why and engaging with the discussion.- The best and worst Lana Del Rey *influenced* songs.

Most of these artists have directly cited her as an influence. My tone was meant to be facetious—I'm not actually accusing any of the artists themselves of being knockoffs. Just wanted to discuss songs that frequently get compared to her style. It's not that serious. I agree that Kali has her own sound but this particular song has frequently been compared to Million Dollar Man. Take it up with the internet!- The best and worst Lana Del Rey *influenced* songs.
The most oft-imitated songwriter of our time, we all know it when we hear it—dreamy vocals, nostalgic strings, old Hollywood cliches and romanticized Americana but who, if anyone, has been able to capture the LDR magic and who just gave us Lana slop? Edit: Deleted the song examples since they were simply meant to spark discussion over what constitutes as well-done pastiche vs. derivative imitation.- The most epic intros in pop songs ever.
