I wonder if the attacks from all sides to everything she does is going to make her reconsider her previous decision not to re-record reputation. With people hating on her every little move, it is reminiscent of the pre-reputation era. I know some swifties are upset that debut re-recording is not coming out this year, but if it did come out, the album would have been torn apart, which I would not want to see. People hate on tloasg anyway, but inviting more hate to the album doesn't matter as much in the long run.

I honestly think it is more if you have high standards for a partner, you need higher standards for yourself first. If you have not already achieved the standards you are looking for, you are being delusional and should remain single

I honestly think it was just Katy acting 'weird' the whole era. Katy's main base was young women. Acting weird basically alienated her whole fanbase. And yes LMs and swifties hated her at them time and slandered her online and offline the whole era. I was doing my part to put my colleagues off her at the time that were her fans. She gave a lot of material to do that with the whole era.

Genuine question: do you know what a cult is? People listening to what they like do not a cult make. Taylor puts out songs that are distinctively her. Millions like and listen to her songs, and don't listen to songs that don't connect to them. Equating this to actual cults is crazy. It almost as if you see Swifties as a group that is so different from yourself when Swifties are just normal people listening to their favourite songs

Disregarding A-listers with fantastic streams and sales, the average breakthrough artists would be lucky to have 1 or 2 songs charting in the H100, and if you separate singles from album charts, these artists would have even worse album stats, which is probably the most important criteria for record companies to assess if the artists are worth investing in. If everyone is playing by the same rules and the chart ranks do not change, why does it matter if people game the system? Do you really want to see 30k sales topping the album chart so bad? Remember the BB200 is focused on number of units, while H100 only really focus on the rankings.

I would think 750k-1mil. It is Adele after all. If Taylor can continue to sell more on release week since 2022, Adele shouldn't drop that much either, since the GP loves her so much.

I love how critics are proclaiming the music is bad, and yet Taylor is smashing everywhere and the streaming numbers are amazing. Then looking at what the same critics are pushing as good music, and it is some of the worst music you have ever heard

Depending on who you refer to as 'GP'. Anyone above the age of 35 generally do not care pop stars in general, unless they do something inexcusable. And by inexcusable I do not mean how many variants Taylor has released of whichever album or how many times she has flown in her private jet. I'm talking about actual crimes, and yes that includes war crimes. For the average straight 20yo guy or girl, they might think a pop star is annoying, but generally wouldn't have strong opinions either way. The online discourse regarding pop stars are generally from gays and lesbians, and most of the time little things are blown to epic proportions.

Sombr is highkey impressive, 4 songs in the top 200, one less than Olivia and one more than Ariana, both of them having released an album this year as well.

Only point I disagree with is for the albums. You need multiple #1 albums, otherwise you can't be a MPG. You can have a million top 10 albums, like Lana for example, but you still won't be considered MPG until you have multiple #1s

This is honestly the first thing I thought. Why would Taylor want Macklemore to be an opening act? They were edgelords when they were still popular. The Palestine issue is really important as it is countless lives being lost as a result of Israeli aggression, but Macklemore is the definition of male performative activism. Asking Macklemore to be an opening act is like asking Miley to be an opening act. You need to be prepared for what they might do during a concert before they go on stage, and sort out any discussions with stadiums, promoters, etc beforehand. Ed Sheeran doesn't have the team to do that, so any backlash from both sides sit squarely on Ed when he decided to invite them.

For Miley, it's clear that she doesn't know who her audience is. Like who is a typical Miley fan? For Taylor, Beyoncé, Gaga, Selena and even Hillary Duff, I can picture who a typical fan is, and these artists market towards their target audience. I feel that Miley just releases whatever with no clear goal in mind and not many people are interested in what she has to say through her music. Even people who would be potentially interested in Miley don't engage because she doesn't release the type of music they like.
