Only point I disagree with is for the albums. You need multiple #1 albums, otherwise you can't be a MPG. You can have a million top 10 albums, like Lana for example, but you still won't be considered MPG until you have multiple #1s

This is honestly the first thing I thought. Why would Taylor want Macklemore to be an opening act? They were edgelords when they were still popular. The Palestine issue is really important as it is countless lives being lost as a result of Israeli aggression, but Macklemore is the definition of male performative activism. Asking Macklemore to be an opening act is like asking Miley to be an opening act. You need to be prepared for what they might do during a concert before they go on stage, and sort out any discussions with stadiums, promoters, etc beforehand. Ed Sheeran doesn't have the team to do that, so any backlash from both sides sit squarely on Ed when he decided to invite them.

For Miley, it's clear that she doesn't know who her audience is. Like who is a typical Miley fan? For Taylor, Beyoncé, Gaga, Selena and even Hillary Duff, I can picture who a typical fan is, and these artists market towards their target audience. I feel that Miley just releases whatever with no clear goal in mind and not many people are interested in what she has to say through her music. Even people who would be potentially interested in Miley don't engage because she doesn't release the type of music they like.

You'll be surprised how old some people are on this forum. I still remember being old was a huge talking point for Madonna amongst non-fans in the early 2000s prior to COTDF's release because Madonna looked old at the time while still chasing pop trends. Looking back, the general sentiment towards both Madonna and Britney was hugely misogynistic, but the 2 of them were mocked for their live vocals at the time as well as age for Madonna.

Tbf, I for one love TLOAS while can't tell a lot of songs from TTPD from another, and I won't be the only one who think so. When TTPD came out, it was dragged through the mud as well, we are just on a revisionist history rn while TTPD being praised while TLOAS is dragged

Not sure if Taylor actually threatened to sue Olivia, but Taylor has always been incredibly protective of her work, especially with her history of needing to fight for her masters. I'm not surprised if Taylor was majorly ticked off when Déjà vu had elements of CS. She would not take proven plagiarism of her work lightly.

I kinda want Taylor to have 3x 2mil+ debut weeks. That would be a record that is impossible to beat.

Even if it is bait, I feel that it is still fairly believable that Taylor's team will send out a big batch of physicals this week when Taylor is easily in contention for #1. I believe that Taylor has at least 250k total physicals, so 20k last week and 170k this week will still give us at least 60k for next week, which would be enough for another #1 assuming that streams and sales don't tank.

Hope they have another batch of vinyls for sale for next week. I missed out on the vinyls and would love to grab them. Imagine if Taylor does some signed versions

I'm guessing this as well, there is too much promotion from Taylor's side for the movie for just a song. That being said, there hasn't really been a leak from the premiere regarding a voicing role for Taylor, so I'm not too sure about this theory.
