I don't think anyone should get lashed so I'm not saying its a bad thing but I've noticed Miley doesn't get it as hard as the other girls. Do people just not care as much or do people like Miley as a person, but don't care for her musically so therefor they feel less inclined to lash her, what is it?

She is pulling less numbers than Hilary Duff, her numbers are on par with Katy and she's been doing less than Xtina with Bionic AND Lotus (different times so maybe an unfair comparison) and yet I don't hear the same discourse surrounding the state of Miley's musical career.

she has achieved everything a main pop girl has to achieve when she was 13-25, she has the money, the stats, the sales, the streams, the a-list status etc she's just doing whatever the **** she wants right now

also, bass persuades-something beautuful-endless summer vacation-plastic hearts is her best album run ever

Like 90% of the discourse around Miley for the past 2 days, both here and on Twitter, has been people calling her a flop and saying she should retire

I feel like people do drag her tho. Its not other fanbases but mostly her own stans. They are incredibly rough with her and very dissatisfied whenever she doesn't pull Flowers numbers which is honestly sad to see.

Hannah Montana is already bigger than most pop girls. Miley has fulfilled her duty and she's allowed to just have fun now.

She generally makes music that is far less commercial or trendy than her peers, so it rarely makes sense to hold her to the same standard

Probably because she's not really in competition with anyone's faves. For whatever reason she's been able to avoid a lot of the stan war fodder. Similar to Dua Lipa while she doesn't have a super intense online fanbase she's pretty much widely liked by everyone.

cause she's flopped before and shes established, forever A-list. Even if her album tanked, she could still go on a sold out global tour if she wanted to.

Who cares about flops and smashes anyway? It's not like it has anything to do with how good the music is

We already expect her to flop. Just like Flowers was massive but no one bothered to check out ESV.

also, the reason why K*ty P*erry gets lashed 24/7 is she's very desperate, looks very try hard and cheap while the music is as basic and unlistenable as her early unlistenable dr r4pe stuff from the 2010s. zero growth or artistic bone in her body just chasing hits for whatever reason. miley is the complete opposite of this
