  1. This is unrelated but every time I see Kathy Griffin I remember how I've not once laughed at a single thing I've seen her say. Is she even considered to be funny or just a commentator? I actually don't know. She's never remotely said something funny in an interview that would make you bust out laughing in hysterics, where are the female comedians that are doing it like Joan Rivers was? Nothing against her tho
  2. Because she's not a total loser like some evil, lunatic
  3. Reminder Taylor Swift and her husband are evil and disgusting for this and anyone defending it are evil and disgusting. Thank you
  4. The pop girlies were smart to stop interacting with their fans, not that Hudson is anywhere near their level of fame and this isn't even that bad but without boundaries fans get a little too comfortable.
  5. The way every single from MAYHEM was nominated for either a Grammy or an Emmy. She's such a legend
  6. seeing atrl have threads for Taylor, Morgan wallen, Ella whoever tf.. we're so cooked. I miss when my pop stars would fight for gay rights and tell the president to go **** himself
  7. The colour they chose to wear was NOT a coincidence
  8. Oh so we're putting the Swifties in the rodent bin with the Katy Rats? Got it! Taylor being the biggest pop star right now when the world is so corrupt is actually so fitting. She loves looking the other way, playing both sides, she's such a coward.
  9. Oh they are EVIL evil got it, the worst part.. it's not shocking at all
  10. Obviously not. I'm assuming this is about Taylor's wedding but I've heard nothing about this what's the tea? and can I get a warning point removed for calling her MAGA a few weeks ago..
  11. It feels stupid to compare the two because honestly Confessions doesn't have anything as good as Abracadabra, Disease etc but that isn't a bad thing. MAYHEM songs are very singular, their highs are much higher than CII, you get an entire package in one song while also working as a cohesive piece, but then Confessions feels more so like a continuous body of work and because of that I found there to be less standouts, there isn't a single song on CII where afterward I was like this will be the one that will be on repeat. That's not to say I wasn't impressed with CII. I loved certain production choices and I think I loved it even more because finally people can regard a new Madonna record highly but in terms of which I prefer, which I know I will have listened to the most and thought about the most, it's going to be MAYHEM every single time.
  12. The prospect of a legend who's been in the industry for as long as Madonna being nominated for AOTY with a dance record is honestly so exciting so I hope so
  13. Why do the mods allow this user to continue making threads when they make people lose brain cells, are completely useless and no longer funny? Genuinely driving people away from the site for such low level annoying trolling..
  14. Haven't liked Madonna's last 3 albums so I was surprised listening to this. There were genuine moments of intrigue here for me. Interesting production choices especially, it felt like she was experimenting with sounds I've already heard before but using them in ways that made me think I like what they did there. I haven't gone deeper into the lyrics but it felt like she had something to say, there was an earnestness in her voice and some vulnerability rather than just a feeling of autopilot. It genuinely sounded like she was having fun. All of that alone is a huge improvement to what felt like her chasing trends and making mediocre attempts at radio hits that missed the mark for the last 15-20 years. This feels right and feels like what an artist should be doing when chart success is no longer the primary goal. Getting a critically acclaimed album so deep into your career is what will keep your legacy alive. I still need time with it but I'm excited to revisit it. I can't say in particular that songs certain songs stood out, usually with an album I'll know right away that I'm going to be obsessed with 2-3 songs and then grow to love the rest, that didn't really happen. The closest was probably Bizarre. I do think the album lost a little momentum on the second half but it was an enjoyable listening experience overall and I'm happy to see a legend in the game deliver something worthy of praise
  15. Why would she use her wedding day as a promo slot
  16. I didn't realise pop radio didn't like her, so there will be no more radio singles only Drop Dead? That seems like an odd choice on Interscopes part, they seem like a good label overall but they seem to have an issue with radio.

would be so here for this
  18. I disagree. Even though I believe she has a strong chance of winning. When you look at a song like TFOO it's one of those cases of why was the song actually so big? Was it undeniable or was it just because of who was attached to it. In no way do I believe TFOO would have become a huge hit if a new artist debuted with it as their first single. It's really such a big hit because it's Taylor, and it's one of her better pop songs in recent times, but it is still not some amazing, ground breaking song. Her winning would just further show how gassed up she is in the industry, she has it in the industry in her hands and quite frankly she has to do very little to make it so, the fact that we are even debating if she deserves to win ROTY/SOTY let alone win any Grammy for her post panned album tells you everything.
  19. Man I used to have Future Love on REPEAT back in 2009. It deserved the You and I treatment, wonder why she never did anything with it. I've loved so many of demos. Then You'd Love Me is another fave, I know she ended up using a lyric from it in Fashion of his Love but I still wish she did something with the TYLM melody. Honestly her strongest suit is her melodies/hooks, she might be the best pop girly at it tbh

Not trying to play moral high ground but at some point I hope liddos will just let the Katy stuff go. She's already gone, dead, buried. Even if she bagged a hit in the future, it wouldn't take away all the years she tanked and Gaga eclipsed her. Are we really going to carry these comparisons into our 30s/40s like the Britney/Xtina stans did?
  21. This discussion has become so stale. He made some points, but this isn't some revelation. These points have been made a thousand times over. It's time to move on. He contradicts himself by saying the TD hits still mostly hold up but then says her music didn't stand the test of time, there's a reason she's considered to be fabulous for a throwback. On the comparison, at the end of the day it's as simple as Gaga is more talented than Katy. Gaga's talent allowed her to flourish in ways Katy could not. Gaga showcased and proved she is a singular, undeniable, once in a lifetime star and that talent is what granted her the longevity Katy could not achieve.

I would love 10 track TFM type album rn but if we even got that, I doubt she will go all out like she did with MAYHEM. I doubt she would even tour the album so maybe it's better to just wait like a year or two so we can experience a full era again because otherwise little complainers won't be happy.

I was relistening to The Fame and I was wondering why it doesn't sounded dated. A lot of the work Akon was doing with other artists sounds soulless and empty and even most of RedOne's productions aged poorly. It really is a testament to Gaga's talent that she was able to enhance the work of her producers at such a young age due to her musical knowledge and talent. Just Dance technically should've ended up aging like milk like this song is such a prime example, Evacuate The Dancefloor even sounds dated to me maybe not as bad but Gaga's music always sounded expensive whereas a lot of the dance music around this time sounded almost like unfinished demos.
  24. Not saying there's anything wrong with it but most pop stars I stan work with a variety of producers/writers, the situation with Billie and her brother make it sometimes feel like a duo rather than a solo act. They are kind of a package deal. It would've been the same if Gaga worked her entire career with RedOne or Taylor her whole career with Jack. Billie has like a massive safety net in her brother and it would be nice to see what she does without him.
