I actually like this way more than She's The Best. Hopefully he only talks for certain parts and sings the rest, but if not it still works better with this kind of track than something like STB

The talking voice can be a useful tool that can make a song a lot more interesting, but you have to learn when to use it, Gaga and Madonna mastered that art but abusing it just makes it seem like you couldn't come up with a good melody

we'll be waiting for the full album though

This is Charli's fault.

The talking voice would be fine if it was interesting and well done. But there's zero personality to it. It's just gay vocal fry with zero melody.

and you have to learn HOW to use it, too. Gaga and Madonna can make spoken word sound artistic, melodic, and even emotional on a track. Troye sounds like he's reading words off a page over a beat.
