It Was Good Until It Wasn't That whole "until it wasn't" phrase is so dumb to me. If you just say "It was good" it already implies that it's no longer good. Also I remember once reading a comment how Mariah loves to name her albums after stuff you can find in a little girl's room - Music Box, Charmbracelet, Glitter... They really do sound uninspired.

Kinda. She did pull a bait and switch (like Taylor with Showgirl) because unfortunately the lead single sounds nothing like the rest of the album, but I did enjoy several of the songs on first listen and I can see the album growing on me. That being said, it's somehow the best album released today, which I didn't expect.

Bass Persuades is kinda mid at first listen, so it automatically wins. Midnights is one of the most boring albums I've ever heard.

I agree with this so much. At first listen, Snowburn is the only song that stood out to me. Overall it's a cute album but the songs kinda all blend together. I def much prefer the EPs.
