The problem isn't the speak vibe per se, it's the reductive version of Club classics... He is not trying something new, he is just copying Charli and I think it's a downgrade for him after In a dream and STGEO

in what way
he's talking about going to a party over a house beat that interpolates madonna. if anything it's sonically closer to being an azealia banks song than a charli song.

Because it's where he's at? He said recently he doesn't really care about commercial success anymore and his break away from Capitol kinda shows that. This album's distributed by interscope but released under Troye's own label. I don't really get how Party is so offputting to people at all. She's The Best was VERYY polarizing for a single but this new song doesn't seem very harsh? This person said Party was the best song played at the listening party and is a great time. Troye apparently described the video as 'polarizing' which makes me more excited lol.

RUSH is still his best song yet should have won the grammy for best dance pop recording over padam which aged like banana . It was experimental,catchy and pushed pop forward. Too bad the whole album was not constructed around that sound...and song. A missed oportunity to have a groundbreaking album but he needs to room and remove that new song off the record and pull a dangerous woman ....and focus that lead out.

Troye is good for a background music, you know when you are cleaning house or doing something.

He is bland, faceless, lack charisma or personality and his vocal abilities are mediocre at best, but his songs are fine to listen if you dont want anything with substance.

and dont forget the video, which for me was the best video of the year plus for someone who love Berlin during summer and have many wild memories of the city it has sentimental value as well.

Yeah I know, thats why Im interested to see how "Party" will sound.

Producer is not a magician, he can do whatever it takes but if the song is not written well when it comes to melodies and lyrics then it is what it is.

i really dont mind the musical direction like BRING IT ON troye as long as the album doesnt sound flat after a strings of strong singles like the last one then we're good

I like his tone and he should buff up his voice and take some vocal coaching...that said live he kinda sucks i mean jlo took singing lessons after she got called out for using background singers and studio enhanced vocal correction. He is a great gay artist the best one het too bad its harder to appeal to straights when you dont straighten your look to appeal to them.
