OP and his long beef with the Hiverip

I love how even the haterz run fast to the thread, no matter how many times y'all scream streams, Beyonce will remain the standard that y'all measure faves success to

Threres a reason Rihanna entered the industry being the Bajan Beyonce and she has been stanning since.

One is still releasing acclaimed body of works almost 30years in the industry and winning grammies,

The other one left the industry and lost her nachos, her voice and aura, but let free streams and nostalgia give u haters the satisfaction y'all so craved for.

Beyonce is here to stayryan3

Cringe. Talking about free streams when you guys were just celebrating Beyoncé gaining 100k monthly listeners daily and hoping that the label had turned on the autoplay.

Rihanna became the icon, cultural force and influential figure that y'all swore she would never be. Spent years and years saying she'll be forgotten if she stops dropping albums every year - only for her to be put on a higher pedestal by the industry and the GP alike when she did just that. A decade into her hiatus she's only competing with a handful of pop girls - that Beyoncé is not part of - on the streaming charts. All while living her happiest life and not needing to lift a finger. No wonder y'all are resorting to a parallel reality where she'd have lost her "nachos."

Pretty sure most Rihanna fans don't hate Beyonce. Rihanna is the #1 artist stans hide behind to attack another artist. We've seen "Rihanna fans" go after Taylor, GaGa, and Beyonce". But they're not truly Rihanna stans. Unfortunately like those other fanbase, the Hive are falling for the bait, thus creating a stan war

@James_Joint is one of the biggest Beyoncé haters on here.

The Hive only reacts to people using Rih's streaming numbers as a drag, saying they still "hate" her is a stretch.

I am NOT a Beyonce hater. When I feel there is a false narrative being pushed in regard to her or her music by the media or her fans, in which there often is, I call it out. That's it.

I have praised her before on here, and for the record, I think Formation is one of the best songs in recent history.

A lot of these conversations always come about in a weird way to make the talented pretty girl feel like she is uncool while the other pretty girl girl who is untalented is the cool one. It's a high school mentality! Beyonce is the pretty popular girl that won't bow down to bums while Rihanna is the pretty popular girl who gives the bums validation and attention. Most Rihanna stans only seem to **** with her out of jealousy towards Bey.

Bey ain't average and never been a day in her life lol. Bey would never get away with being mediocre or mid. It's not in Bey DNA. The GP never found Bey relatable not even in the late 90's and early 2000's when she would do interviews. Bey has a strong Aura!

Not really. It's very apparent that only one fanbase stays obsessed, and it's not the navy.

it's not some positive statement that the navy don't drag her... they just got bored and moved on. if Rih was active right now then navy would be in their usual business like the hive, this is a pointless topic.

I don't know.

On Twitter, I usually see the opposite.

I constantly see the Navy and Army stans bashing Beyonce, calling her overrated, "local", hitless, a Grammy darling, etc.

I honestly don't even see the Hive bringing up Rihanna that much except for clapping back at the wild claims made by certain Navy stans.

For instance, whenever Rihanna breaks a streaming record, there's usually a subgroup of Navy fans who constantly have to discredit Beyonce instead of just celebrating the accomplishments. By contrast, when Beyonce breaks a sales, touring, Grammy, or other type of record, Rihanna rarely gets brought up.

It could depend on the spaces you're in though.

So we're currently not in her business as I clearly stated and the obsession and resentment is mostly one-way? How does the argument, yeah these people are consistently being weird to Rihanna for no reason but so would the navy if Rihanna kept releasing music make sense? The hypothesis makes no difference because currently only one fanbase is involved. As matters stand now a good portion of the hive is still very obsessed and hateful towards Rihanna, the same isn't the case with the navy with Beyoncé. Period. Trying to hypothesize a situation where the navy would still attack Beyonce if Rih was releasing makes no sense. Rihanna is inactive, so is most of the navy, they have absolutely zero reason to still be bitter and obsessed and should have moved on from the petty stan wars like we did.

Maybe because I'm a fan of both but I do not see what you're talking about around these parts OP, at least to any great degree. Maybe a little shade here and there from a few fans of each but nothing intense or crazy like 10-15 years ago.

NOW, what I often do see are numerous stans of white pop artists (you know who they are) constantly dragging and minimizing both of their careers and accomplishments so to that I say,

I think I should specify that this thread was prompted by some of the posts I saw the day before in a Rihanna and Rocky related thread. Of course there's going to be shade with different members one against the other over some petty things (streaming, touring, etc) and that's okay, and even explain later in my posts that both fanbases for a while now I thought had moved on from the stan wars of the last decade. But to see some of the hive being shady over a relationship is bananas. And the members in question are older members who've been around for a while and have been shady over the years, so that's what was surprising to me, and one of them even got in this thread still being cringe shady and hateful. Being obsessed and shady over someone's relationship isn't some "light shade" or it doesn't seem to be that way to me at least. If the navy was going into Bey and Jay related threads making weird unnecessary comments about them for no reason, that too would be weird and I don't know why y'all are acting like it isn't rip

Because they're scared of her and her hit power. Rihanna was the most successful artist of the 2010s in the world.
If she comes back properly with big hits, she is definitely takin the spotlight again.
Today, Beyoncé is the leading Black artist on the planet, but Rihanna's return would shift things a bit………

Same with the "monsters." They still fear Katy having some sort of renaissance comeback.
They don't want to go back to the nightmarish ARTPOP era. ryan3

Like us the shakifans. We hate when karol g or bad bunny is winning. We want the spotlight for shakira only
We dont want someone else stealing our records, headlines and more....... rogue2

The problem is you guys think the GP considers Rihanna to be average or mid just because you guys think she is. While people find her relatable, they also place her on a pedestal and that pedestal is not below Beyoncé's and hasn't been for a long time. I guess there's one side of the Hive that doesn't want to see it. She's both the relatable/cool girl next door and the superstar/queen. And it honestly looks like some of Beyoncé's fans might be jealous of that because they know that's a big reason why Rihanna was able to launch such successful brands and have cool points with gen Z (and thus; boosting her popularity on TikTok, streaming, etc.)

Um where are you seeing this?

All I see is a thread from a bitter fan unnecessarily pitting two successful women against each other

You literally have some Beyoncé fans confirming what I saw in this very thread and saying that it was unnecessary but here you go:

Exactly. And moreso, even if they (the public) think she's mid so what? Why are they (those specific Bey stans) concerned? Rihanna isn't their fave anyway so why do they care what the public thinks of her? The fact that they literally can't even see this is as some form of obsession is so funny. Why are you worried about an allegedly talentless weed smoking baby mama who's not even active in the industry anymore? She's not constantly making appearances on television nor are her songs everywhere on the radio like they were years ago. This is the perfect moment not to pay her any mind because they don't even have to try, but they intentionally go out of their way to involve themselves whenever she's mentioned. Like how is that not crazy?

The way two lighthearted comments about her humour being cringe/corny got you so worked up that you created a whole ass thread about how the "Hive hates Rihanna". deadbanana2 And you want to convince us that you're not obsessed with the Hive? rip Girl, get a grip.

So it went from hive did nothing to (supposedly) lighthearted comments (and they were more than two) deadbanana4

No amount of trying to turn this the other way round is going to convince me that those members weren't weird for that. Y'all can act like we do the same (we don't), or that I'm this person who hates Beyonce as well (I don't) but it won't change the fact that more hive being in that Rih related thread that had nothing to do with Bey and making unnecessary comments isn't weird. Sorry rip

All of this thread because of 3 or 4 comments in a another random thread? are the Navy that bored ? skull

Ummmmm all this is laid out in the OP. Can you read? Why are you telling us something I already stated? rip

Also funny it went from no hive member said anything to just two lighthearted comments to four. What's the next update? deadbanana4

And that wasn't the first time (nor last) that it happened.

Edited by lonnie

The dumb arguement that the Navy brings Rih's numbers to drag.

The hive doesn't want to admit Bey's numbers are horrible not compared to Rih but to anybody. So the hive attacks anybody with bigger numbers because it destroys the fake narrative that her cultural impact is more important than sales.

I just checked the thread, and there were two lighthearted comments you were complaining about, which mentioned her humour being corny. There was a third joke about whether they both wear thongs... deadbanana2 None of the comments was remotely hateful, and yet you've freaked out and created a thread to whine that the whole Hive "hates" Rihanna based on... two lighthearted comments about her humour being corny. rip

Get a grip. The thread is filled with users from different fan bases making far shadier comments about her, one saying she's become a shadow of him. Yet it was the lighthearted comments about her sense of humour that got you this worked up and blame the whole Hive.

This is clearly your problem, not the Hive. rip

To YOU. Why are you making sweeping generalizations as though everyone is going to agree that those comments were light-hearted, when others beside myself in this very thread have agreed that they were unnecessary, some of them hive members as well. The most prominent fanbase in that thread was the hive. I can very well accept your opinion if you think they were lighthearted but that doesn't mean I have to as well rip

I made this thread based off of those observations, and those I'd seen prior and hadn't brought up. And these previous comments in other threads (mostly in Celebria) were made by the same members who had those "light-hearted" comments. Now if you disagree, and don't think there are hive members who are bitter and hateful towards Rih, fine. But I think otherwise, and it is very well within the rules of this forum to make a thread asking and seeking opinions, some of which don't reflect my own and even disagree, as yours does, and that in and of itself is far less hostile than someone making supposedly light-hearted shady comments. Why are you so upset about me making this thread in question to that as though I too, just like you, can't have opinions that I share on this same forum rip Hell even if you want to start a thread based off of this you can.

Acting as though I frequently make hive related threads when I don't. I made observations, made a thread on said observations. The end. I would well agree with your disagreeing than this framing that I can't find those comments hostile and ask questions as to why there are still hive members hostile towards Rihanna.

The irony of you complaining about sweeping generalisations in your thread titled "Why does the Hive still hate Rihanna"? deadbanana2 Girl, where is the self-awareness?

You have this weird obsession with the Hive and it's been going on for years. Time to get a grip.
