The part the hive can't seem to accept is that Rihanna arrived and became a phenomenon so quickly that she ended up overshadowing Beyoncé in many conversations about pop culture. Decades later, the ge

The irony of you complaining about sweeping generalisations in your thread titled "Why does the Hive still hate Rihanna"? deadbanana2 Girl, where is the self-awareness?

You have this weird obsession with the Hive and it's been going on for years. Time to get a grip.

Gurl bye laugh

I made the thread. You don't like it and that's okay. Show me evidence of this years worth of hive obsession. Pull the threads and posts, otherwise all this is just a means to redirect the actual obsession from its true source.

Because they're scared of her and her hit power. Rihanna was the most successful artist of the 2010s in the world.
If she comes back properly with big hits, she is definitely takin the spotlight again.
Today, Beyoncé is the leading Black artist on the planet, but Rihanna's return would shift things a bit………

Same with the "monsters." They still fear Katy having some sort of renaissance comeback.
They don't want to go back to the nightmarish ARTPOP era. ryan3

Like us the shakifans. We hate when karol g or bad bunny is winning. We want the spotlight for shakira only
We dont want someone else stealing our records, headlines and more....... rogue2

Yet I've still seen more cases of the Navy bringing up Beyonce out of nowhere and shading her when Rihanna breaks a streaming record more than I've seen the Hive bring up Rihanna when she breaks a touring or Grammy record.

Let's also not forget that Lift Me Up was initially hyped up to be Rihanna's "comeback hit" which dropped on a major movie soundtrack and it ended up being outstreamed by Cuff It, Texas Hold Em, and even Break My Soul. That's not even touching on the single she dropped for the Smurfs which not only flopped but considered one of the worst pop hits of this decade.

Also, Monsters "fearing" a Katy comeback is very laughable when Katy has been a full-blown legacy act living off of her past hits from 08-13. Anytime someone thinks there's a Katy "comeback", it usually involves her back catalog streaming well and that's basically it. Katy doesn't even come close in touring lol.

Don't get me wrong. I love Rihanna and Katy. But we have to be honest with the fact that they're both benefitting greatly from playlisting and past hits that people are still nostalgic for. Nothing wrong with that at all but it puts the comparisons with Beyonce and Gaga into proper perspectives since they're both actively competing in the pop world today and we don't have to speculate when it comes to them.

You literally have some Beyoncé fans confirming what I saw in this very thread and saying that it was unnecessary but here you go:

Y'all aren't going to gaslight me like I didn't see what I did rip

Exactly. And moreso, even if they (the public) think she's mid so what? Why are they (those specific Bey stans) concerned? Rihanna isn't their fave anyway so why do they care what the public thinks of her? The fact that they literally can't even see this is as some form of obsession is so funny. Why are you worried about an allegedly talentless weed smoking baby mama who's not even active in the industry anymore? She's not constantly making appearances on television nor are her songs everywhere on the radio like they were years ago. This is the perfect moment not to pay her any mind because they don't even have to try, but they intentionally go out of their way to involve themselves whenever she's mentioned. Like how is that not crazy?

Lol you made this whole ass thread/rant over two comments? Did it really trigger you that much? There's comments from other fanbases too, are u gonna make a comparison thread for each fanbase?

I don't need to go through your threads, sis. We're in one that proves my very point. toofunny3 You went into a thread about your fave that was filled with various fanbases making light jokes and shade, and fumed so hard at the three comments (out of 30) by Hive members that you had to create a thread to whine about the entire fanbase hating your fave. I don't think you really could've proved my point more thoroughly than you already have. lmao

You're on a pop culture forum where all fanbases shade and joke about each other's faves. The Hive aren't 'hating' on Rih any more than any other fanbase on here. Get a grip. rip

Then pull out this evidence of me being obsessed with the hive as you say. See how I was able to provide proof when someone claimed nothing was said, and you can't do the same? It should be easy, my profile is right there. You can click on it/search whatever. Pull out all this hate that I've been spreading on this forum for y'all as you say I've been doing (for years). If not shut up.

Yes. They mostly keep it in her threads in Celebria than in the Base. But they do.

I will say that you've done well with this diversion tactic, almost got successful. But my sentiments that made me ask in this thread remains the same. Just as I guess yours with my supposed obsession does.

No, this is the evidence of your current obsession with the Hive. I'm damn well not trolling through your thread history over the last decade to prove something you already know to you, considering we've both been here on this forum for a long time.

You're seething over the Hive for no reason whatsoever, but at least other members are now seeing that too. All of this over three nothing comments, in a sea of other fanbases. toofunny3 Get a grip.

The Navy can't keep Beyoncé's name out of their social media posts, and it's usually unprovoked. So, yes, the Hive is still lashing Rihanna as a form of retaliation. Now what else is going on?

I don't know you could've just said "No, I think you're wrong and no one in the hive on here hates Rihanna". But you went off on a whole personal attack that you can't prove. You spent more time on this back and forth than you would've finding the threads (also there's literally nothing to find). But I don't think we're going to agree on either of our arguments, but you are entitled to believe whatever you will.

And tbh I absolutely love a more honest response like this. Like it's just better to say "the navy on social media are Bey haters there so we are also hateful towards Rih on atrl".

And you could've just downvoted the three comments from the Hive and gone on your merry way, instead of creating a thread to fume over a fanbase that you now pretend like you haven't taken issue with on this forum for over a decade. coffee2 You're fooling no one.

They're mad Beyonce was groomed since her childhood to be an MJ like figure but Rihanna came from an island with no fortune or connections was able to outdo her career less than a decade. Rihanna hasn't released an album since 2016, yet she is outselling and streaming Beyonce who has been manically been releasing music every couple years with the desire to win industry awards and outsell her peers. Beyonce and her husband have been moving like mafia mob bosses around the industry for the better part of the last decade threatening and suing people in order to get Beyonce the legacy she so desperately wants. All of this effort into 3 failed AOTY Campaings, a couple cheating/make up albums for controversy, pandering to audiences that do not like her and blackballing competition/nay sayers. All this yet Beyonce is still being effortlessly outsold, outstreamed and not as culturally relevant as Rihanna. Thats why the hive is mad.

Cringe. Talking about free streams when you guys were just celebrating Beyoncé gaining 100k monthly lithe steners daily and hoping that the label had turned on the autoplay.

Rihanna became the icon, cultural force and influential figure that y'all swore she would never be. Spent years and years saying she'll be forgotten if she stops dropping albums every year - only for her to be put on a higher pedestal by the industry and the GP alike when she did just that. A decade into her hiatus she's only competing with a handful of pop girls - that Beyoncé is not part of - on the streaming charts. All while living her happiest life and not needing to lift a finger. No wonder y'all are resorting to a parallel reality where she'd have lost her "nachos."

You guys are so delusional is sad, using Ur fave doesn't need to lift a finger as a gotcha will never stick, cos my fave doesn't even do much aside being passionate about her craft. Are you guys tired of Celebrating billionaire Rih?

Your fave is the original industry plant, cos her career was payolad to the gods, she made being lazy and relatable a thing I will giver that.

I love how u guys have nothing to look forward to, aside jumping from one base to another looking for fight to stay relevant

Majority of Rihanna fans are fans of other has beens and Beyoncé haterz, who think stanning Rihanna will make their real fave successful again, when even Rihanna herself has been creatively bankrupt and gat nothing to offer

You keep making flamebait threads towards Beyoncé and claimed she was covering for Jays supposed crimes the other day. The obsessed call is coming from inside the house.

I don't get it considering both ladies are absolutely excellent in their own way and should be celebrated, especially since there are no other new black MPGs to take their spot.

Bringing up soundtracks when Beyoncé has quite the list of flop soundtrack singles is a choice. She had her own Disney single, first solo song in 3 years - and barely entered Billboard, and did not get certified anywhere. "Lift Me Up" debuted at #2, charted for 20 weeks, pulled 9M first-day streams on Spotify, hit #1 on Apple Music, reached 1 billion global streams by the end of 2024 - and outstreamed Beyoncé's lead single from the same year, globally. The soundtrack vs. lead single comparison was odd to begin with, but this really isn't helping your case. "Lift Me Up" gave you an idea of what Rihanna competing in the pop world today would do.

The attempt at a Katy Perry parallel is comical. The last time Katy had a solo song that came remotely close to the numbers of Rihanna's soundtrack song was over a decade ago. Her last album dropped in 2024 - there's no speculation needed, she is, has been, competing in the streaming era, and flopped with each output. Katy gets outstreamed by Olivia Dean and Lana Del Rey while actively releasing music, with an album in 2024, plus her back catalog. Rihanna is ahead of every female artist except Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande, a decade into her hiatus.

azealia

I literally never see Hive talking about Rih rip What would even be talked about? Rihanna hasn't been active in 10 years.
