Pattern of taking songs? Let's be for real, there is no way that Rihanna forced these girls to give her a song. If they genuinely didn't want that to even be an option, Rihanna would've never heard the song, they would've kept it tucked away. And if it happened behind their back, then they obviously didn't own the song to begin with.

Britney's is definitely more known by the GP and therefore is more iconic, but Lady Gaga's is one of two "post-Britney" VMA performances that I do consider iconic, with the other being Miley's 2013 performance (say what you want, but it was iconic, it broke the record for most tweeted about event at the time) Tbh though, I'm not sure that any pop-star's live performance could ever or will ever be able to replicate the aftermath and media attention that Britneys received. She had a chokehold on society in a way we no longer see, because it was all funneled to the public in a much more concentrated manner during that time.

I think if she's credited, she did contribute, as she's not the type of artist to care about portraying herself as something she is not. What's weird to me, is when an artist has 10-15 writers credited but the narrative being pushed is that they're a songwriter who does everything by themselves. Again, this narrative has never been pushed with Rihanna, so who cares if she received a little credit for a little contribution.

She released a song just last year, and continues to out-stream other MPGs who still release albums every 2-3 years. We're still in the streaming era and she's the only female artist with 8 songs over 2B streams. Saying she doesn't have a music career anymore is an insult to all the artists that continue to release music and still can't touch her. And they do have things in common, as laid out in my OP. This is true, but in the last decades of her career, I feel like Dolly was more known for her philanthropy and business ventures more than for her recent music. She had her classic hits, but those were from earlier in her career. Also, Rihanna did just release a single in 2025, she is just not nearly as active as her initial run from 2005-2016.

Dolly was also a fierce fashion icon with her elaborate makeup, hair, and outfits. Last but not least, she was a true and passionate philanthropist, running her own charity, launching a global book-gifting program, providing scholarships and supporting the youth. Does this trajectory not remind you of none other than Robyn Rihanna Fenty? She also grew up far away from LA on an island in a small bungalow, and would go on to become the most famous person from her country. Rihanna also has the iconic hits that are adored by the GP, such as "Umbrella", "We Found Love", and "Love on the Brain". Like Dolly, Rihanna built an empire outside of music, becoming a fashion and beauty mogul among the legends. Rihanna is also a fierce fashion icon who would constantly push the envelope, and too became a major philanthropist, launching her own foundation, building medical centers, and supporting a number of causes like global education. Both Dolly and Rih are known to be simultaneously humble while having built an entire empire from the ground up. 9 to 5 = Work Jolene = ***** Better Have My Money I Will Always Love You = Love on the Brain Here You Come Again = We Found Love Coat of Many Colors = Diamonds Do you see the parallels between the two, and think that Rihanna could have a Dolly like career trajectory?

Im glad she's getting called out. P!nk's whole image would've never made it in today's time, as she was the epitome of a "pick me girl", before the term existed. In a world where it was cool to hate on artists like Britney Spears, she capitalized on it instead of being a girls girl.

She obviously just wanted to offer a unique piece of merchandise to her fans, at an affordable price, like bffr. What other explanation would there be? That she's deliberately milking her "premium" fans for money?

Her EP released last year (before the Boston song) sold 20k first week. In the age of social media, a debut like that only happens through years of making music, performing small shows, and slowly accumulating a fan base. She did none of those things. I do not trust that the tour actually sold out, whatsoever

I guess Rih really was an album artist then, seeing as how her discography of a "few iconic hits" out-streams every one of her peers to this day, sans Taylor

So you're saying unlike Taylor, Beyonce only does it for the money. Got it.

I don't think that she'll "dominate" in her 40's, but I also don't see her fizzling out completely. I think she'll flop for some years and then find success every so often, like how she's been the last decade.
