Is Diet Pepsi one of the most culturally impactful singles of the decade?
Diet Pepsi by Addison Rae, which peaked at #54 on the Billboard Hot 100, currently has 647,044 daily streams on Spotify. This is more than the daily streams of every Beyonce single released this decade, combined. Keep in mind, this includes two multi-week number one peaking songs from two number one peaking albums, that are argued by many to be some of the most culturally impactful albums of the decade. Diet Pepsi - 647,044 Break My Soul - 73,2254 Cuff It - 167,670 Virgos Groove - 30,774 America Has A Problem - 38,008 Texas Hold Em - 196,594 16 Carriages - 24,317 II Most Wanted - 31,417 Combined Total - 562,034 We should consider promotion, as Addison supported her single with a music video and a headlining tour that included theaters and many arenas, whereas Beyoncé's singles were only supported by two worldwide stadium tours and numerous Grammy awards. Are you surprised? Or was Diet Pepsi truly just an underrated cultural force, in hindsight? discuss. Disclaimer: This is not a question being asked to shade Beyonce or her daily streams in ANY way whatsoever, but rather to highlight the cultural impact of Diet Pepsi, as few artists come to mind like Beyonce when it comes to cultural impact.

Audrey Hobert sees rise in streams after getting dragged for being "ugly"
This girl is 27, literally NEVER made a song before 2025, no musical background whatsoever, and her first live shows were at large festivals. I'm convinced everything including the comments on her videos are 100% bots/paid propaganda. It could not be more obvious.

Olivia Rodrigo likes a Pitchfork IG post shading Taylor
Seriously, in a time where people are hyper aware of nepotism and industry plants, we have this Audrey girl, who never made music before last year, never performed at small venues or worked her way up, literally came out of nowhere as the best friend of Gracie Abrams, the sister of fellow nepo sibling Malcolm Todd, grew up rich in LA with her TV writing father who gave her her first job as a "writer" on a show he produced and all of a sudden is a "musician", complete with a photo of deliberately placed guitars and keyboards that she has never played in her life, and people are just letting her get away with it.

Beyoncé in 2003: I don't listen to country. Never have
Beyonce could literally say "I've never written a song in my life" And those same tired Beyonce stans would be saying "obviously she doesn't IDENTIFY as a songwriter, because she's a conductor. She orchestrates the writers to make art that's her own. She IS the songwriting". It's honestly so funny reading their essays and regurgitated token words. Beyonce "researched" this, she "studied" that, as if there aren't literally 100 people who work on each Beyonce album.

Shawn Mendes goes IG official w/ gf Bruna Marquenzie "I love you so much"
That would be very unfortunate and I hope that's not the case, but if he has any sort of team or manager giving him advice, surely they would/do communicate that at this point it would even be good for his career. That's why there is so much queer-baiting from straight artists, because it's pretty common knowledge that an artist can have a long-term, sustainable career, with the support of gay fans. And yeah, It could also be rooted in religion/family, but unlike many in that situation, he can completely support himself for life without a single family member. He's also been removed from that lifestyle for 10+ years now. I also think if it was that deep of a struggle or worry for him, he wouldn't have felt comfortable making the statement about "figuring it out".

Shawn Mendes goes IG official w/ gf Bruna Marquenzie "I love you so much"
I think it's safe to say, if he was 100% gay, he would've started acting on it atp, or would at least not still be dating women, especially after the statement he made. The gays who bullied this man for being a "closeted" gay man, which was horrendous in the first place either way, look like idiots. Maybe don't assume sexuality.

Do you think petal will be remembered in 2028?
If Ariana ends up looking healthier in the near future, I think it'll be remembered for being released at the height of this public concern/criticism regarding her atm.
