In Latin America, we are infested with crime. We never feel safe on the streets. Thieves can kill people here over a cellphone or random object-cash, and then they're back out because of the judges-weak legal system. Some of our countries have an incredibly high number of missing people. Some have around 200,000 disappeared people. I hate the way we stayed silent about this for decades and normalized living like this and also the narco and corruption culture permeating everything. I should be able to live like people do in Japan, China, some West European or Nordic countries, or the northern states in the U.S.—in peace. I just wanna be able to read my tablet outside without worrying about things goin wrong. In this decade, we've normalized presidents doing the most abhorrent or stupid donkey things.
