She's making songs for her Latino audience, translating them into English, and trying to have the same success. Like that English Papasito song. That's not really how things work in the U.S. You have to make songs as if they were born to appeal to American or global audiences, like Shakira did with "Objection," "Hips Don't Lie," or "She Wolf." You have to look at it from an American point of view. Not from a latinoamerican one. I also feel like, to make really good songs in English, you need a masterful level of English. I don't know how Shakira did it, but she conquered English really fast. You compare her English from Dónde Están Los Ladrones? to "Laundry Service" and you're like, HOW? Maybe she got the best teachers in the world or is cause shakira is gifted with really high IQ. I think for Karol G, English is more of a tool than a lifestyle. She's too attached to latinidad. Karol G's influences are mostly Latino and Spanish-speaking. She loves Selena Quintanilla and Thalía. Shakira has been a big fan of Donna Summer, '70s and '80s rock, etc. Shakira grew up more in touch with American culture-Anglo tastes I also feel like it's really challenging to write songs in English as a non-native speaker. Like I said in one of my past threads, there's a mental/neural inability to feel English the same way a native speaker does. I can write a song, but I don't know if it will actually work. I feel them different in my brain-ears-cognition. Writing in a different language to your native with proficient level.....It's like baking a cake with your eyes closed. If she were a native English speaker, I'm totally sure she would be able to make some nice english songs.

Seen as chaotic,cringe and appropiator Her Pets died Family collapsed (Billie-Tish feuds and divorce-Brothers feeling shame or envy about her) Excess Drugs and alcohol was her way to cope with that Its definitely her darkest record ever When pop singers talk about psychedelic record. I tried to fake it with "Bass Persuades" because I always fake *** to support my artists when they release lead singles, but I was concerned about the song's genre and video. My dad has surgery tomorrow to extract a kidney stone and im so scared i feel like crying. In these two months like more than bad 20 things-events happened to us. From an easier really peaceful endless summer vacation batch of years 2022-2025 to struggle really bad this year 2026 Life is of course not perfect and this is one of those years where your on your way down to the roller coaser im glad i have atrl to erase my stress but is like damn...... I like to bother Karol fans from time to time, but she's the only female artist Shakira has as real competition and the only one with real staying power in LatAm. And that's for a reason. That's not easy to achieve.

A lot of people in the stan world don't know that Shaki did gymnastics when she was a child. She also loved makin dresses and playing thieves-police with her neighboors in her hometown Sadly all those old interviews are gone from the internet but i used to collect the extracts..... She was a very sporty kid I think that's one of the reasons why she's so flexible-elastic today. That training definitely helped her. If I'm not wrong, Zara Larsson also did gymnastics or ballet, and that's probably one of the reasons why she's such a good dancer compared to so many of her white gen z peers. If you want your kid to be a great performer, get them into gymnastics or ballet or dancing classes early
