No, it's grown off me more

The mobile version of this site has had no issues (for me) for months now. No more intrusive and weird ads, links mostly work, and a rather smooth experience. Kudos and thank you to everyone that worked to make that possible.

Good for Tinashe. Glad she kept going despite all the challenges she's had.

That's not the critique at all. It's that she can't seem to write well about anything other than that one subject. A good portion of the criticism was that she had outgrown that theme, but she's been unable to write well about anything else. The fact that a teenage Taylor was capable of better artistry than a grown adult Taylor with more life experience is very sad. She should have matured in her craft and she's done the exact opposite, and not even the huge numbers or success can camouflage that anymore.

This is a fascinating theory. All of the good music Taylor gave was inspired by her narrative as the spurned lover. In every instance a man had come into her life and disappointed her, but now she's (seemingly) happily settled and her personal life doesn't have the previous emotional turbulence of her younger years, and perhaps she just has never evolved enough as an artist or as a person to access other emotions and experiences other than the pains of a lover's heartbreak, and transform these other experiences into art. Currently, for the most part her victim narrative is around what she deems to be other people's perceptions of her, and none of it comes across as convincing or good because probably on some level Taylor recognizes this to be false. No one is out to "get her". But then again, even as a songwriter, what inspires her? We know Joni Mitchell got inspiration from reading Saul Bellow, that Kate Bush's Wuthering Heights was inspired by the book by Emily Bronte, etc etc, what artistic sources does Taylor draw from if any? When you factor all this, the insipid and uninspired music makes sense.

It's Joni then Fiona then Kate then Tori then Bjork. It's important to note that English isn't Bjork's native language and how impressive she is for still managing to write such moving and profound music despite that. Don't know what Taylor was put in this conversation for.

Taylor and her team have been using gifts and her status for years when it comes to the awards she's received. When members of the Grammys committee were getting tickets and other gifts from them during deliberation In any other circumstance that would qualify as a bribe to sway process. But alas.

It's truly been downhill for her ever since 2020. It's so funny because this is basically her most productive years but the level of mediocrity with each new release is outstanding.
