Brooke Candy - "VIP"
a journey but she never really went anywhere...

Troye Sivan laments (his) singing; "the fact that I have the same job as Beyoncé.."
people with potential should practice and refine their gift. i dont believe that people like Troye should bother. you will hit a ceiling because the physical capacity is just not there, he would never be able to sing with vibrato. an average voice with training looks like Taylor and she gets constant flack despite being a very stable live vocalist.

Is Gwen Stefani one of the biggest frauds in pop music?
i dont agree with this. Nicki actively spreads hate, she says viscous things and aligns her money and career with bad people. the second we find out Gwen is actively funding republican parties or some bible camp, I'll drop her. but right now she isn't. she minds her business and never puts down anyone. all she did was that bible ad which should not be offensive, and idk what Blake does. people like Shania and Gwen who are still kind toward their gay fans and are not filled with hate, I'd take them any day over the Nicki and Debra Messings of the world.

The Icon Sessions with Taylor Swift, presented by the Recording Academy
maybe not, but plenty of them have discussed preferring or being asked to dumb down songs and use really basic lyrics.

Hilary Duff - 'luck… or something'
it's not the way Hilary moves, but I wonder if there's been any discussion of converting the deluxe into a new album. touring is her main income so I guess there's not much incentive to do it currently.

HDD: #1 ENHYPEN 108k, #12 Stella Lefty 34.5k
just a marketing thing to seem deep, mainly the boy groups do it. and because they release albums every year they need to be able to reuse the titles, so they'll do 2-4 in a row with the same 'concept'

The Icon Sessions with Taylor Swift, presented by the Recording Academy
first half of the medley was meh but she brought it together in the end. i peeped a hint about doing country music too

Miley Cyrus teases new album
i know it's just drums but im getting Houdini vibes
-
LISA - 'PRESS PLAY'
that better not be the cover
-
Tyla - 'A*POP'
that's his default. if you check his production credits he has a fairly signature style, very snappy percussion like Chanel/New Rules/Look At Her Now. i do like those 2 Tyla songs but I don't think they have a special working relationship, Ian just knows to bring the goods. Id be interested to hear her on a MNEK track too, Sweet Melody and Midnight Sun are adjacent to this style

RAYE - 'THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE.'
i just heard the Life Boat original demo and wow, that one is an amazing song... she really butchered the parts she reused for the final. i wonder if this happened to other tracks on the album too.
- Happy 1 year anniversary of Don't Click Play. What's your favorite track(s)?

Bebe Rexha - 'DIRTY BLONDE'
what happened to this era, is she not even touring?

Are Billie and Olivia getting less industry support these days?
they're huge in the music industry. big album sellers, tour sellers and streamers. maybe u mean hollywood and the press? they're not big there because they dont play games to bait them. Billie doesn't do pap walks, Olivia rarely does. Olivia did her little drama moment in the beginning but has become much more private, which was a wise move. both are musicians first, not popstars or celebs. and thats actually the difference with the younger gens- they're not trying to play that game or be celebrities like the pop girls were.

Olivia Rodrigo - "serena joy"
i hope it's not another acoustic snooze
-
Becky G - 'BARAJA BENDITA'
you will probably know most of these then but i would say nearly all of them are tracks that received no attention from pop fans or even her own fanbase when they were released!
- KATSEYE scores first #1 song in Australia
-
Tyla - 'A*POP'
well the album is already out, so it's not. and Tyla's career has reached further heights than Tinashe ever did.

Kesha
she looks like the person she used to be and it's so heartwarming. she's performing like that too. i don't know how to word it, because i know that the sentiment is harmful. i'm not saying we need her to be thin or some beauty and popstar standard. i love every version of Kesha. but i guess just as a fan it's more like seeing her go back to her roots? she got her light back. idk why exactly but the period release seemed a bit tumultuous, but she seems so confident and happy again now. tbh reducing the lip filler probably made a huge change
