IDK I have hope for the album! Even if BYL is a bit of a rushed collab, LS is better (and I Feel So Free washes most of her output 2010-onward to be fair). That said, I feel like older artists have a different mentality towards singles than current pop girls and that shows in the rollout of this album. Like, M came up in an era where getting a radio hit was the ultimate album promo, and it feels like she's chasing that with BYL — as opposed to just dropping the full body of work and counting on her fans/name to stream — which leads to singles that are a bit less interesting than the full album. I mean I'm just speculating, maybe it will be full of BYLs.. but I think M still has smth better up her sleeve

In fact, your faves' latest singles, "The Dead Dance" and "Runway", both have lower user scores on AOTY, so maybe you should worry about that.

To many people on this forum, twitter, and so on. This is what i saw and why i made this thread. Plus, based on my personal taste (though you don't need to have any taste to hear the quality of her latest songs).

This is the most I've enjoyed an era of hers music wise in like 20 years lol. Ironically I found the lead the weakest of the songs released so far but still solid enough.

She signed with her longterm record label. She did Coachella and killed it, she did a show yesterday and killed it, she's at Tribeca right now to show a short film with god knows how much budget, and her 2 songs alone are close to outstream the most recent album releases by artists like Mariah etc…before even its released.
