What went right? Everything since she came back to Warner and kicked off the Confessions II era.

music is good though she is 67.

They have no confidence in the music so had to resort to cheap marketing. She also doesn't look or sound as sharp as she could be.

Not "what went wrong?" for a near 70 year old woman who can fit most girls careers into hers

Question: do people constantly hound male heritage acts about their musical output in their senior citizen years? I notice that once popular male acts get past their 40s or 50s, most people stop placing high expectations on them no matter how critically acclaimed they were. The people just accept that they're old and are in their retirement years and just let them coast.

This era, the singles, the performances, streaming, and most probably the album too is doing much better than her peers newest releases, Mariah or Celine

How bold to say Madonna makes terrible music when their fave has just churned out duds like Runway.

Although, I have to give credit where credit's due, because some are finally admitting defeat by saying how great her body of work and the new era is.

I mean, their fave is kinda failed badly with heavily promoted TDWP2 soundtrack and cameo that barely make any noise among GP... when Taylor is smashing hard with kinda mediocre and bland song without any trying Also, Requiem go quickly to the drain despite huge Apple support

So, imagine the amount of jealousy, anger and frustration in their base, they need to let it all out on someone, M is perfect target

It reminds me of when she was marketed as the main artist for Top Gun : Maverick soundtrack, and yet she was completely overshadowed by OneRepublic.

Even a 40 year old song by Kenny Loggins has higher streams than HMH.

and none of her songs are in the top five most streamed from the DWP2 soundtrack either, despite everything she did for that movie. If anything it seems her appearance had the opposite effect.

Meanwhile, Madonna's Vogue is all over both of those movies (Including the trailers), and she didn't even have to lift a finger, managing to outshine Gaga's pitiful attempts regardless. I can see why certain folk are so angry...
