  1. Mitch McConnell all over again. And yet people will scream that it's all Trump's fault or Putin's fault or XXXXXX's fualt so they can absolve themselves of their own poor choices and not have to take responsibility for their own backyard. Drives me insane.
  2. I think you're dead on. West Germans never miss an opportunity to remind East Germans that they "saved" and "paid" for them, which is patronizing and reduces people to the level of property. No wonder there is resentment. Not to mention the fact that when the USSR collapsed, all the house-of-cards industry in the East fully collapsed with no alternate, meaning the East was never going to be able to properly rebuild without investment, something I don't feel the West was willing to do on a wider scale. As for people not seeing what's going on, I put some of the blame (but not all, as the blame lies mostly with ignorant voters) here on Scholz for being an incredibly ineffective and absentee leader. He displayed quite a few negative stereotypes about lefty leaders that voters (at least, the voters who are already poised to be wary of lefty leaders) saw and immediately ran away from. And the fact that he did not do enough to really combat the AfD borders on unforgivable. He's not a bad person; he was simply overwhelmed and somehow still thought he was doing a good job. And now we have Merz, who is just as ineffective, but with a far louder, more conservative, and hypocritical streak to his approach. I think people thought that the glory Union days of the mid-2000s were going to come back under his leadership, but that has yet to happen, and it never will. Because he's the boy who wanted to be king so badly and is now regretting that he got his crown. So we're stuck with the more liberal side to the country dabbling with the Union in an ill-fated attempt to bring back order and then the conservative side to the country plummeting into fascism. I'm an American and Italian citizen, but I've been living in Germany for over a decade. In a way, Italy voting in the Fratelli d'Italia didn't have the same effect as it could have, in general, because there was already such fragmentation between the political sphere and the population (and we have low voter turnout); Germany, on the other hand, has always been the adult in the room. And if Germany fails to fulfill that role, it could be far more disastrous given the country's high influence in the European Union. This mess is not cute. Heh... remember when they promised they wouldn't do that? Guess I'll just sit back and wait for the immigration offices to reject my application then!
  3. The East still has a lot resentment towards the West, and I think that's playing heavily into this.
  4. The blind item about a certain pop star doing cocaine and then her making an entire album about it five years later. Dua's parties during COVID-19. Geri Halliwell allegedly being the subject of Annie's Me Plus One. Justin Bieber's racist jokes. Jared Leto being a cultleader. Nicki Minaj's QUEEN code disaster. John Stamos being a part-time Beach Boy. Dionne Warwick's psychic friends.
  5. I'm still not over Madonna's charging fifteen more dollars for the Hard Candy deluxe edition, which only contained two bonus remixes and a bag of dollar-store peppermints.
  6. In the US? Groceries for one week and maybe a little for gas left over. In Europe? Groceries for the month and at least three tanks of gas.
  7. Literally 20EUR on Amazon.
  8. Good. AI is something they should have to learn how to use AFTER they've already developed skills without it. Learn the rules before you start breaking them.
  9. I'm guessing this was done in retaliation for how many times people have destroyed Trump's star.
  10. Can 2026 chill the hell out already?
  11. Best: Toxic. This is not up for debate imo. Worst: Dark Horse. Britney Spears - Toxic Taylor Swift - Cruel Summer Lana Del Rey - Summertime Sadness Lady Gaga - Die with a Smile Adele - Someone Like You Rihanna - We Found Love Ariana Grande - 7 rings Beyoncé - Halo Katy Perry - Dark Horse This song went 100x platinum in my bedroom.
  12. Lana. I've found it hard to listen to Ethel's music ever since.
  13. Of these, Caution, The High Road, and Dopamine. But the one album I get rapid about is Love + Fear, aka Marina's second best album. I also have to give Christina credit for Bionic because she really made an effort, and the label muddied the waters.
  14. This image is better than sex.
  15. The way she genuinely believes that ten year olds should have an adult-level understanding of their emotions when they have absolutely no autonomy or concept of the weight that consequences have is infuriaing. And that's what makes her a bad teacher. She demands things from children that they cannot possibly give her and then plays dirty and ridicules them when they don't live up to her arbitrary, volatile standards. I admit she's a bit of an Azealia Banks in that she's not always wrong with her takes, but this is one where she's simply wrong, and there's no way around it. And it's amazing that after so many years, she hasn't learned anything. Prison and cancer didn't teach her a damn thing other than how to act like a martyr.
  16. Aside from the horrific stories about how she was treated, this is one of the most tragic aspects to Britney's entire story. She is a much more talented woman than her discography would lead one to believe.
  17. As far as monarchs go, it seems he could have been a lot worse. His family has made more than a few questionable decisions, but he was an ally. So RIP, King.
  18. I hate this timeline. Rest in peace, King.
  19. There are no words. Rest in peace, mama.
  20. Of course she lives in the trashiest state in the union.
