I had no idea the album was even coming out this week. I found out because of the "Sam Smith is flopping" threads here. Granted I don't keep up with them that much but still. I feel like very little effort was put into building hype for this record. All this flopping talk made want to check it out so there's that at least lol.

Going from top 10 to struggling to chart is some Lizzo lever tankery. I feel bad for them but Sam has always been more of a gp artist and this era has been such a non-event promo wise. And the complete image change during Gloria definitely soured some people.

Ouch at Jorja and Sam. It'll take A LOT to keep Sam in the top 10 come Friday. I was expecting Paul Heaton to be #1 but not with such a big lead over Brandon. Happy Antony Szmierek is top 10 at least in the first midweek update. Such a great album.

I'm with everyone who said they had no idea the album was coming out this week. Everything about this era has felt muted.

They have been popping on my tiktok fyp constantly for a couple of weeks now and this is something that would usually annoy me (the chorus in particular) but I'm kinda….obsessed? It's stuck in my head 😭 They're signed to Atlantic in the US so seems like Atlantic is trying their luck with pop groups as they also signed a boy group recently. Interesting to see how all that goes.

They have started teasing their new single after signing to Atlantic Records recently. They have performed it live before and, as usual, it's a banger.

I Can't Love You Anymore is smashing on Apple Music tho and is currently top 5 there and hasn't left the top 5 since release (I think). Apple Music is very country music friendly and IKI,IKY is flopping majorly there too barely holding onto the top 100. Its streams numbers are definitely questionable.

Flo > Little Mix > Fifth Harmony Flo is more my taste overall I would say. I like Little Mix but looking back some of their stuff were too childish. Fifth Harmony is a bit hit or miss for me (they have some excellent songs tho). The rest are noise pollution I'm not bothering.
