Promotion of this album has been atrociously bad.

The campaign was too drawn out. Jessie is unlikely to get a big hit so the pre-release singles were never going to do much to boost the album. And the songs she chose killed the hype completely.

To be honest there are no fantastic single choices here. The album lacks undeniable bangers. I can see why they went with ICGUTS. But it sounds so generic amongst her discography. It's a run of the mill Jessie song.

Superbloom should have been the lead. It's by far the strongest song on the album. It's never going to #1 but it may have connected better with her audience and critics. I would have been much more excited for the album if that was the first song I had heard.

Then she should have used Sauna + video as single on release day.

It would be been nice to have a some behind the scenes of the making of the album. Focus on her skill as a songwriter (to pull away from her broader public image as a podcaster and celebrity).

And then maybe some filmed live performances. Again leaning into her incredible voice. A killer performance is one of her best chances to go viral.

The promo just felt very flat and lifeless.

You guys just need to understand that she doesn't have the gp streaming appeal that's gonna give her the success you envision for her and get over it. She's a fantastic artists that has released a trilogy of incredible records that have garnered her a cult following and sometimes that's just it. Now go stream Don't You Know Who I Am? And get your life!

The singles were… a choice

I still skip the lead single but the other two work very well on the album. I hope next time mother makes better choices.

Anyways, who doesn't love this album stinks.

I will be happy if she keeps releasing quality albums like this, but it is just natural than we would like her to have more success so more people know how good she is in the ocean of these untalented social media singers LOL

An outside chance that Body Count & One Hot Second May appear as they were registered at the same time as other Jon Shave tracks that made the album.

Idk, to me the single choices are correct and kinda obvious. Ride is a given out of the dancy tracks, and out of the more boogie/soulful ones ICGUTT feels like an invitation... It's the right choice imo!

i think the problem with the singles is that Automatic MOST represents the vibe of the album, and it was a randomly tossed out pre-release track. i feel like a lot of people wrote off the album based off ICGUTT and Ride. and there's so much more to it.

listening now. the songs are pretty good and i'll be keeping basically everything, but it feels a bit been there done that. i loved the bridge of Superbloom because it took her into new territory.
