it's not bad. I feel she's chosen the wrong lane for herself that time, but I get the introspective/quieter album because it was the mood she's chasing that time. the glitter effect made it look bad and the media portrayed her as alcoholic and crazy woman. also through the rain wasn't the best idea for a 'comeback' that ILT had everything in it. she needed a song to make people watch/check her again and make the media change their opinion about her. the one remix and boy I need you were stronger tracks but still I don't think they had this comeback or a hit written in it. so it was doomed to flop.

expected the worst for this album after her last album but I'm happily surprised I like the productions, overall the albums flows well and I like the most part of it. the true problem for me is her vocal performance here, apart from never get over me, there's no high notes and the album feels like a one trick pony. also the lyrics are poor so they don't help much. still it's a better output than the last album but far away from her best releases in the last decade. the highlights for me are never get over me, petal, freak and bad thing

definitely her best album. skipless. kinda crazy I took more time to like this but it keeps getting better and better. I can't get enough of this. raven and TMA have bigger highs but there are lows that drags them both down. don't piss me off, crystallize, retaliation lullaby and the bridge are fantastic. career highlights. new life forms would be the only 8.5/9.0 from this album. everything would be a 9+ from this. i do agree she should go further in indie rock/industrial vein because this work will be phenomenal. I like how well balanced this record is and that's why it's my favorite by her.
