Goin Down Don't Piss Me Off Cristalize they are sooo good but lowkey this is the album that on the first listen didn't connect me much to it like take me apart or Raven, it needs lots of listen

the problem with mdna there was no direction, she started working with orbit again and then Martin solveig came and lowkey jeopardise the whole project. MDNA was supposed to be only orbit and benny benassi. One of the reasons she and orbit apparently fell out because solveig started to reproduce the songs he has done it. Rebel Heart was all over the place, it was her first album to have 20 different people working on it and you clearly can hear how that sounds.

this album will be a grower for sure but sonically is just not an interesting enough effort from kelela, it feels bland

Pinkpantheress showed us that it's a skill to make short songs feel complete, which is lacking here in these songs, they just do go anywhere

Kali Uchis is the worst example here, she is a prolific artist who has creative freedom to release what and when she wants

It's funny you pick exactly her most acclaimed album to say this like it was a weird choice to regard ROL as this higher album, because it is. There are albums who shaped part of the culture and ROL it's one of them. Your comment would make more sense if you pick bedtime stories or mdna

we will bop but the concept screams "I wanna ride the wave as long as possible by replicating again". She is making an anti-thesis to each song on the album, the concept is already aged like milk
