What is Carly Rae Jepsen's weakness as an artist?
She's soooooooo good at yearning; although I feel she does have plenty of excellent happy/fulfilled/cheeky songs as well. I consider her discography after Kiss basically bulletproof so, maybe it's for the girls who get it and that's okay. She hasn't had massive promotion or backing since then, which is ironically when her music actually got good. Like she said, she's found her niche Her discography is way more varied sound-wise than any of her detractors would even seem to know about it. I mean, Kollage & Bends vs Beach House & Psychadelic on the same albums is crazy.

anyway if they do some live shows and resurrect certain Confessions Tour mixes (Music & Erotica) that would be cool

Nearly 2 decades into her career, Lady Gaga is thriving. Why?
it always sends me that OGHs have this image of the general public streaming Gaga's collaborations up to 3+ billion times and sitting there gritting their teeth during her parts and just waiting for her singing to stop so they can enjoy her songs in peace be so for real, she is a massive part if not the MAIN attraction for people listening to DWAS, ROM, Shallow and Telephone. Sour Candy is maybe the one I'd be like ok they have a point but it's hardly a massive hit

Tori Amos
Catching up with some of the other live debuts she's done since resuming the tour and Angelshark sounds great once the angels come in I love that you can hear so clearly above them unlike some songs where she's completely overpowered. The oohing over the piano break is lovely.

So there's this masterpiece called Practical Amnesia The only clunky one here is the self-reference nun line, that served Taylor trying to fit too many syllables in It being so literal in contrast to all the metaphors around it is a bit jarring but the song is so good Anyway I am so obsessed with this album my top 5 is Crown Jewel, Hers Before Hers, Practical Amnesia, Fast Asleep and Malka Moma which has her best vocal ever

Rihanna is more versatile as an artist than Gaga. Surprised?
Nothing comic about it? In September 2012, DJ White Shadow decided to do an experimentation on Twitter by releasing a new instrumental track called "Trap". On September 19th, 2012, he uploaded it on SoundCloud and asked fans to record a rap for the song. He also added that if the lyrics were about Lady Gaga that it was worth more points. He then gave a couple of hours to fans to submit their version before Tara Savelo and himself would pick a winner. After a couple of submissions, DJ White Shadow tweeted that he got "the one" and that "You still have a little time. But you are going to have a hard time beating this one!" He then revealed that the "winner" was asked to not to be announced and that he decided to add a bridge to complete the demo. It was also believed Gaga wrote the lyrics of the song, but the songwriter still remains unknown. DJ White Shadow uploaded the new track as "Trap aka Cake" with the following description: "the one hour rap champion. i added a bridge!!!! we are going to mix this **** and put it out for real... its a hit!!!! cake like lady gaga...." The vocals are made up of two voices, one is the rapper's voice which was pitched down to give it a manly tone and DJ White Shadow doing some background vocals. Some fans edited the song to reverse the pitch change which revealed the rapper identity to be Lady Gaga. In the fall of 2012, Lady Gaga continued her fashion feud with critic Cathy Horyn, which had begun in June 2011, by criticizing the writer and her boyfriend, Art Ortenberg, in the lyrics of "Cake Like Lady Gaga". She re-wrote a section of the song to feature the pair, and this version premiered as the soundtrack of the Mugler womenswear Spring/Summer 2013 fashion show on September 26th, 2012. The lyrics included "Ortenberg you can suck my dick, walk ***** you ain't Lady Gaga. Nicopanda got style, trick, Cathy Horyn your style ain't dick. Walk a mile in these foot-high heels, I run in these you ain't running ****. You chew beef, I wear meat - I'm getting fat and so is my bank. From a sold-out world tour, *****." The track also featured the singer's voice digitally-altered to make her sound like a man.

you're wrong and everything so far has been handled immaculately, nobody pre-release would've reasonably expected numbers close to what they have been so let's put it into perspective

MrPeanut and Rihannafan in the same thread? what year did I wake up in I guess it mkes sense we're talking about a pre-2016 artist The problem with Rihanna's "versatility" is that the songs aren't good so none of it matters. She could make the worst disco song or the worst jazz song, it's not going to count.
