Did you like bandaids?

Featured Replies

How do yall feel about Katy's most recent droplet bandaids?

Surprisingly it got pretty good critical acclaim, especially considering the disaster that was 143 critically.

Are you here for more of this pop rock OOTB-esque sound from Ms. Perry or what direction would be ideal for you?

Let's discuss. On a side note bandaids is still gaining on AC and Hot AC at radio.

Vocally speaking, the song is written for Katy's voice at this point in her life(post pregnancy, early 40's in age, voice type etc.) From clear and supported low F's (F3) to the peak of a full throated Eb5 and consistently belting between B4 and C#5 this was a perfectly written for her voice. I'll add it's in Ab Major which is what a lot of her big anthemic songs are in, see Firework.

It's a great song. She should continue in this direction.

yes i find them really useful, if i have a cut or a wound i can just cover it up safe from infections

Yes but it was nothing new for her. She needed to do a different sound she never did before.

Not at all unfortunately I didn't get into it. People say it's good but it sounded like 143 at first listen and that put me off too soon

it's good! if we're comparing it to 143, it's phenomenal lol

nah but yeah it's a good one giraffe if she does more pop rock like this I might tune in for an album. I'm still not supporting her otherwise because of... yknow. I'm also still hoping there'll be an apology of some sort in her future but who knows! people love to not take accountability, and if you're a celebrity you likely feel even more emboldened to forgo the common decent thing to do which would be to apologize

but yeah, simply put, I actually do like Bandaids

It still made it into my 2025 top 10 most played in only like a month and half so, yes. However despite being a major step in the right direction, it didn't have that much staying power for me. She made the right decision to just use it as a palate cleanser, assuming there are much better songs on the way.

It was a vast improvement over 143 imo. I wouldn't mind if she went in this direction for her next album jamming

Yeah, I liked it, she's on the right track to forming her old self.

Yes, I love them! They always help when I have paper cuts gaycat4

I listened to it when it came out and didn't hate it but also didn't like it enough to ever listen to it again

It's a step up from 143 for sure but not very memorable. I wouldn't skip if it came on the radio but I wouldn't listen to it more than once.

It's cute, and definitely a step in the right direction, but not great either. Melodies are great, but the lyrics are clunky sometimes and the production is not as interesting as it could be

I like it, it's the right direction and I guess it was supposed to be more of a palate cleanser than a proper lead. Can't wait for KP7, especially if it's the "back to the roots" one!

One of my most streamed tracks last year, it deserved better. If she does a whole album like this I will be very happy

not offensively bad like 143 but extremely forgettable

i listened to it once and instantly forgot what it sounded like

She really should work on it and stop belting like she's in incredible pain, especially her grating lives.

it got 17m streams in over a month, whose palate is it cleansing?
