Miley Cyrus signs to Atlantic Records
I mean, you can never predict what music critics will enjoy or not. They didn't like SB but it still managed to get a Grammy nom, maybe because of Columbia's Grammy influence but still got some recognition in the end. Promo could've been better but it wasn't as bad as some people make it look, at least not at the beginning. The era had a promising start with EOTW, which was pushed both on streaming and radio all over the world. Sadly, the results just didn't live up to expectations and it went nowhere. Then everything else was just a mix of poor reception from the public, some questionable creative decisions and lack of promo from both Miley herself and the label.

Demi Lovato - 'It's Not That Deep (Unless You Want It To Be)'
Miley changing labels again… lord knows what kind of shitty contract did Demi sign to not being able to leave after 4 album? 7 albums? (Not sure if Confident/TMYLM are part of the count since she was under both Island and HWR, but Revamped must definitely count as one).

Argentina cancels celebrities for supporting Spain during World Cup
Technically, the one calling Argentinians Perlas is Mia Khalifa, not her. She just reposted a story with her song on it. I guess they were desperate to find an easy target after losing the cup.

Demi Lovato - 'It's Not That Deep (Unless You Want It To Be)'
This is something I've missed A LOT this era. The TMYLM era felt big because we had simultaneous singles going on. This era could've been much more exciting if we had had some DJ collabs too, especially since they wouldn't be managed by Demi's team so the chances of getting a hit could've been bigger lmao. This could've helped the era much more too. I also wish they had released a music video for Low Rise Jeans. Can't believe they dropped the deluxe like that... no live performances, only 2 songs performed on tour, no music videos... no wonder the tracks are struggling to reach 1M streams. No one knows she dropped ****.

Are we talking about vocals or success? I'm confused reading this thread.

Demi Lovato - 'It's Not That Deep (Unless You Want It To Be)'
I was just thinking about how this is the type of album Demi will say it wasn't the real her when she gets asked about in a few years or when she drops the next one I can already see her answers: "I had so much fun but it wasn't really me - this new album feels more real to me"

Olivia Rodrigo - 'you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love'
Lux is no competition. Grammys won't award a Spanish/Latin act twice in a row. Can't believe an artist as big as her isn't getting her songs sent to radio straight away. I can't understand the strategy behind it. If she were under any other label/team, her songs would be spammed 24/7 on every radio station.

Demi Lovato - Demi album appreciation thread
I think it's been quite popular on social media in the last few years, unlike Neon Lights. RDC was always the biggest single just behind Heart Attack anyway. I still remember the fanbase begging for it to be the second single because the hype was BIG and they went for Made in the USA and Neon Lights before pushing RDC. The way it could've been an easy top 20 and who knows if higher for her. The album is a cute pop record but its quality gets downgraded by One Direction rejects (Something That We're Not, Really Don't Care) and a dated electronic/dance sound (Never Been Hurt, Fire Starter or even Neon Lights). If the album were full of Without The Love or Two Pieces instead, we could be talking about one of her best albums ever. The ballads were amazing for her at the time as usual.

Demi Lovato - 'It's Not That Deep (Unless You Want It To Be)'
Before I Knew You joins thatsmydemi list of "potential radio hits" alongside Carefully and Without The Love. Congrats They all give me the same vibes. I feel like they could have been cute radio hits with longevity. They are cute relatable and harmless songs. So many good songs being wasted. I feel sick and I've just woken up.
